@@itsamnesia1235 oh cool, if you can you should but I personally (specifically) like the form factor of the switch lite and I like its library of games so it’s enough for me. Edit: And I’m intimidated by emulators I’m not really techy so I won’t know how to efficiently emulate games😅

Regular android functions and emulators. Once the switch is just a handheld emulator it will be the easiest thing to recommend.

Honestly, I believe a game system that focuses on good gameplay instead of cutting edge graphics is why Nintendo has prevailed. There are many Nintendo classics that have aged well because of this. 1440p screen doesn't make sense, but a new and different niche would. The Wii remote and switch controllers were very successful. What will the switch 2 do? 3D was already done. What's your guess?

Completely agree, and if I had to pick. just a new handheld with small upgrades like improved joycons, an OLED model right off the bat at 120hrtz 1080p would be my pick but it will prob be 60.

The Switch 2 won't kill the original OG Switch. The only system that did backwards compatibility right was the DS playing GBA games and Gameboy Color playing Gameboy games. Otherwise, I I'm not a fan of backwards compatibility.

We have seen that Nintendo has to be different to get sales. The Wii u failed because it was too similar to the wii. But the switch seems almost perfect. How can you exceed perfection? The only thing I can think of is an update, which would mean the switch 2 would not be as successful as the switch. Unless Nintendo decides to try to revolutionize gaming once again and come up with some crazy and unique idea

Right, I feel like they would need to make an incredible handheld and dock solution that is somehow revolutionary. Maybe a folding screen, or something crazy but practical. It's going to be interesting to see what they come out with.

I really hope the next Nintendo console is equally powerful to PS5 & Series X. I've been around a long time, My first console being the NES. Nintendo has always seemed to be behind to be curve. I personally believe in this day & age, the underpowered system actually hinders developers for making the best game they can. Having to try to streamline next-gen games to fit on outdated consoles. Kind of like what happened to Cyberpunk 2077.

Nintendo's been value-engineering their hardware forever. They went modestly hard on the SNES and surprisingly hard on the N64, but now Nintendo has carved out a brightly-colored niche, and their community has added value to the platform by porting everything to it that will run on the hardware. Expect more of the same; Nintendo only pushes the envelope when they get outcompeted in the market, and the next generation or two won't see that happen.

switch 2 will be on hardware side at the same level of a steamdeck o any other pc handheld and not just nintento will launch the same games from switch, all companies will do so, launching all 3rd parties games from ps4 and one with less resolution but with AI upscaling that NVIDIA or AMD technologies have
