I would definitely recommend buying a Nintendo switch lite in 2024

The switch lite reminds me of a gameboy advance its still impressive one of the more affordable options for a handheld or just use your phone ,tablet or a steam deck it all factors power ,portablity and performance but over all you cant go wrong with any of the devices.

I really LOVE my yellow Switch Lite! It's so ergonomic and light weight. There is no feeling of the controllers jiggling around. I was able to buy it used for $130 on Ebay. It even came with a free travel case. 😎👍👍

What a journey this has been.. from next level lighting, sound and video to watching an entire video not even thinking of the quality to the curtain being pulled back and your lighting coming from a mac. Just shows it’s what’s in front of the camera that counts mate! Keep doing what you’re doing, I’m here for it!

The slightly smaller lite sold me bc I miss the feel of having a small, solid console in my hands like a game boy advance. It’s more fun for me vs the slightly bulkier switches that can have parts removed.

I just got my first Switch about a month ago-the coral Lite. So far I’ve picked up DKCTF, Mario Odyssey, Metro Redux, Metroid Prime, Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim, Zelda:TOTK, and Wreckfest

I love my switch lite. I actually play my switch lite way more then my switch. It's just so portable and I sold my steam deck. The steam deck is so user unfriendly and the games run one day and fail the next. I hated the steam deck but I'm not a PC guy.

I don't have money enough to buy a Switch, so I will save some money and see if there is a new Switch in 2024, especially if there is a new Lite. Thanks for your comments. Merry Christmas and greetings from Spain.

Getting a switch lite until the switch 2 comes out next year. I was really surprised by the value and how good the switch is, so many better games and a better gaming experience than some next gen console games

"If you already have games bought on your Switch..." Watch out for Nintendo's policies on how having multiple Switches work. Your primary Switch can continue to play all your games on your account without any issue, but any secondary Switch devices on your account will need an internet connection to play downloaded games. I guess there's like a 3 hour grace period if you go offline? You can probably make a new Switch Lite your "primary" Switch if you think your first device would stay at home docked, but it's something to be aware of.

I’ve got a regular Switch, but I tend to use my Switch Lite more just because of the creakiness of the joycons in handheld mode. It feels okay at first, but when you get into a heated bit of gameplay, I find it really distracting. I also love the portability and that I can take it places easily like you say

The Switch Lite is highly underrated. There are so many great games you can play on it, and if you have Nintendo Online + Expansion Pack, you have access to hundreds of classic retro games without needing to mod your device. It may not have every retro game but it does have some of the best. I also like that when I play games like Duke Nukem 3D and Quake it uses the gyroscope so I'm twisting and turning to aim my shots up. It's quite immersive!

You're right about the RAM issue when emulating on Android. I love it for streaming but I've lately had issues then running multiple apps along with yuzu or citra. It's annoying because the galaxy is so expensive... Do the thing, Phone

I'm surprised we haven't got a switch lite OLED version yet with anything oled display and stretched out screen, with improved battery life, cooling,name other things. Switch lite is underrated. I have lite andi tend to use it sometimes though I hate squinting at small text I can't make out and have to get my glasses or magnifying glasses out to read said they text. OLED gives me that trouble sometimes too with certain games in handheld mode..

The Steam Deck sucks to travel with. I just went on a trip and wished I’d packed a Switch Lite instead. The Deck takes so much precious bag space and requires more power, so your standard USB charging port isn’t going to cut it. And it turns out, I really don’t need anything that serious when I’m traveling-I just need something I can fit in a pocket that plays games I enjoy.

I've finalky healed enough from the disappointment of the Vita failing. I bought the Lite a few months before lockdown. It was purely an Animal Crossing Machine. I lost interest once I got the regular Switch and could play docked. I just booted up the bad boy a few months ago. I travel a lore more now and it's just so perfect. I know the screen is smaller but to me it looks nicer than the regular switch. I hate playing the regular even with a grip.

How much smaller is the switch lite I have a switch oled and it’s pretty heavy ngl compared to other Nintendo handhelds and big one of my favourite things about Nintendo’s other handhelds is that they are so small to the point it fits in your pocket and I feel like the switch lite does that as good as it can

I originally bought a Switch OLED but ended up returning it as I hardly played it on dock mode and it was too big had to use a backpack all the time. And it taking up space in my bag for travel. I LOVE my switch lite in Coral and how small it is and now I can carry a smaller bags for when I travel.

Just purchased a switch lite (grey) with the flip lite cover case. I have a v1 switch and just want something a bit more simple to use, play mostly on ps5.

if you like the psvita this is the way to go... i have the og switch and i feel horribly when on the go (most of the time) in fact i never use on the tv

I share an oled with my brother but sometimes when he wants to play im on it and vice versa. So i got him a lite and he enjoys using it when im on the oled. Im curious though if frame rates on the lite are better than the oled or regular switch in handheld since the lite soley focuses in handheld mode and doesnt need to worry about switching back and forth between dock mode and handheld mode like the switch and switch oled

I caved to the steam deck oled hype and impulse bought one regret it as I’m back to just using my lite I just love it 😂 so sold my steam deck last week best decision I’ve had for awhile. I think the next console I will buy is switch 2 idk what it is about Nintendo but there consoles and games addicting

the lite is a much smaller screen and there is also the joycon drift problem. i would never suggest getting a lite to anyone unless you dont have the money to buy the other switch.

I’ve played a normal switch, my partner has a switch normal so for my first switch I just got lite I just wanted portability and i love it I would rather have 720p solid frames also then 1080p bad frames

Blah my switch OLED is portable enough I don't need it to fit in my pocket while flying and I use a separate controller. Works for me.

Still prefer the n3dsxl over any Switch because of the fact it plays nes,snes,gb,gbc,gba,ds and various other systems on top of the 3ds library. Factor in the portability and battery life 3ds is king. And my steam deck is second fiddle.

They should make swotch lite oled

The switch lite is my first switch, I love how portable and light it is, plays all Nintendo game without any problems. The only thing I don't like is how quick the battery drains and I don't like using it while it's plugged in, that's why I upgraded to a switch oled so I can play while it's docked and it's a nice handheld with a wider, vibrant screen. Now I kinda regret since I barely use my switch nowadays (I'm a PS main), should've bought an xbox instead

Ya kind of forgot to mention that the Steam Deck does way more games in 60fps. But with that being said, do not buy a Switch Lite, regular Switch, or Switch OLED, as the Switch 2 will be dropping next year. Unless you're prepared for buyer's remorse. Or if you think Nintendo will offer an upgrade program.
