Bowser's still a baddie, but he's on the lighter shade of black. He actually gets heroic moments when someone even _worse_ than him comes into play. You guys take things too seriously, completely ignoring what Mario and Peach do in their own time, lol

I wouldn't be so sure. A lot of parents these days (mid 20s) grew up with this emerging technology and know it just as well as you do, if not better. The generation gap is closing.

I can see why someone would use it. Locking out higher age ratings and online play is actually useful for me, since I would buy games like Bayonetta or Shantae for myself, but I wouldn't let my young brother play with them.

My parents did. They actually checked the age ratings. When I was 8 all my friends were playing GTA San Andreas. I played it at 17. Honestly, I think I was raised well.

They should have a feature where when time is up, it gives a minute to save the game.

Once your time is up, you can continue to play for as long as you like. Only when it's set to put the console in sleep mode when time's up will it force you out of your game. Though, there might be a warning if it's set to that.

Were you watching the video? When time is up, it tells you, and if the kid keeps playing, the option is kept completely to the parent. The video even says "Use it as a last resort."

@@ATYF11 Lmao that’s not how touchscreens work at all. Fingerprint reading and touch detection are two completely separate things. Devices detect touch by sensing the ions in your fingertips, which are of the opposite charge of the screen.

At the very least, I think this is good for kids up to 10 years old, and if I were a parent I'd use it. At 13 I'd let them play almost anything. Almost. Also, kudos to Nintendo for making an instructional video about parental controls actually fun to watch.

When I was 3, I played GTA. That matured me as a person and a gamer, Older brother privileges I guess. Seriously, I read a Dostoyevsky novel, Crime and Punishment, when I was 13, so I'm pretty sure games have matured me to a certain extent.

This is such a good commercial/ad. I like how they used Bowser and Bowser Jr. to spice up and add a little fun into explaining it. Nintendo should definitely try to do more stuff like this. Also, how am I supposed to hate Bowser now? He deserves a #1 Dad mug, but a ridiculously sized one made just for him by his son or something.
