Omg thnx. This was the 4th video I watched and the only 1 that showed me the little black piece that fell out while i was trying to get out a screw that fell into the controller

Thx for the tutorial. Now i can clean my controller. (Edit: be careful when taking out the battery as you can bend the pins out the hole. to bend them back in just take something with a fine tip and push the pins back into the hole(

hello, i am having some problems with the steps from 0:49, all the screws is there seem like they're glued. none of them will even hit at unscrewing no matter how hard and/or steadily i turn the screwdriver think you have any advice? thanks

Same for me. My ex broke one of the triggers. I bought the replacement from Ebay but can not open the god damn thing. I think I stripped the screws just trying. Really annoying.

Make sure you use a good screwdriver. I have a I fix it kit but as he says the driver does not fit good. I use a Wiha to remove those..

First 2 screws are impossible to remove for me. I think I stripped them. 😕

Me too... Still fixed my drift, but future repairs and cleaning will be difficult. Nintendo really didn't care about quality control on the Switch. I had 0 troubles with 3DS

@@RED-9448 Never did. I gave up. Before I ever try to unscrew another Nintendo Controller, I will get a JIS screwdriver set.

@@Tav_cr Yeah, that's probably the best idea But if you want to try to replace the stripped screws, you can try to make a hole in them with a drill Just use a small drill bit, smaller than the head of the screw, and after that use a Torx screwdriver that can fit tightly in the hole You should be able to take them out

Good video so backstory some water spilled on my controller and idiot me thought of shaking the water out. I disassembled the controller and saw no water damage but the remote before i disassembled was glitching and the controller wasnt working. I pulled everything apart and put it together and now not even the lights are turning on 😢😢. Help?

How many pins does the ribbon cable need to be? I count 18 pins on my own, replacements online say 14 pins. Im so confused!!

At 2:26, I'm having trouble removing the board. I've removed all of the screws and vibration thingies, but it seems like there is tension near the top left part of the board/the area near the USB C connector. Anyone have this issue too? It seems like it comes out very easy in the video, but it isn't for me.

Excuse me, do you know how I can find a replacement for the gray ribbon battery cable? I've been trying to find a compatible cable or the exact cable but I can't find anything

@@yasingunaydiin nope, but I see that it looks very similar to the data cables that disk readers or hard drives used, such as IDE cables.
