I hate whenever everyone is pissed that Nintendo didn't put in the character *they* wanted as if know that *their* desired character would be the best character choice and business decision possible. Everyone gets this huge sense of entitlement everytime a character is announced.

The thumbnail makes me happy because I bought the Orange and Purple joycons for my original switch and I already have nostalgia for playing Smash Bros and Fire Emblem on it. Most notably, it reminds me of the days when I would come home to my grandma’s house after working a long week and play on the huge TV screen and fall asleep because I’m so relaxed. I gave it to my brothers when I moved out so they had something to play.

Honestly, as a 32 year old, at first when I watched Scott The Woz, I started thinking bitterly, "Goddammit, this kid is making the big bucks reviewing games, one of my dreams, while I'm stuck at corporate jobs perpetually". It's hard to avoid being crochety when you get older. But watching this video, I guess I'm more full of love for other human beings today. Scott, you possess a goddamn legendary charisma and unique humor. Watching these videos removes my perpetual midlife feelings of doom. You deserve it man, keep it up.

Interesting tidbit: Link’s Awakening framerate dips are actually caused by bad programming. When loading new areas, the memory overflows and the game lags severely because of that. If it was fixed, the game would run flawlessly. Thanks for never releasing a patch, Nintendo.

It's super frustrating that they never fixed that. But atleast it was still Link's Awakening with a really cool art style. And to be fair... The moments ot choppy frames were nothing compared to having to briefly load every "room" in the original.

I brought my regular switch on deployment. A couple months in and the joy cons were all loose and would slip out while playing it in my rack. Plus, it felt too big for what I was doing. Switching to the Lite was like day and night. It made me enjoy playing it so much more. So glad they came out with it, but I also understand how my situation is unique and how it wouldn’t seem practical to a normal consumer
