Everyone saying it ain’t a console tweaking, if Xbox added Windows 11 desktop integration everyone would still call it a gaming console. This was just smart marketing from Valve to get themselves out of the “console bubble”. Yes it’s a mobile PC with the main purpose of handheld gaming. Everyone acting like all consoles aren’t all just APUs with a custom OS 🤣🤣

Gotta mention the fact that Steam sales happen regularly and games can be quite cheap, unlike Nintendo's... the difference can make up the cost of additional storage and more over time.

The steam deck isnt a console... its a hybrid at most and at very least it is a Linux pc. Both MrRev and I replaced our aging gaming laptops with the 64g models and will upgrade the storage when the warranty runs out. So far we have had them 9 months and are very happy with our choices.

Great video as always! I think the Steam Deck handily won this comparison for the informed buyer. The only problem is, I'm not sure that the Steam Deck is making a convincing argument against a budget gaming laptop (and the higher-priced models are about in the territory of a budget laptop with an 11th gen I5 and perhaps a 3050). Still think it's a really neat gadget. How often do you think they'll release new models of the Steam Deck? Probably often, right? I think their current market demographic is the type of person that would be willing to upgrade their Steam Deck often

I am a bit confused between the steam deck and nintendo switch. I am busy working and want to play some games, which is not too hard .I am a bit confuses witch device is good for me.

And also will put resident evil 0 is very great on switch OLED and crisp and clear 😁 just like other games

I'd say OLED for sure steam deck has outdated screen display and playing re0 on switch OLED is so pretty and great yep alotta games run really high on OLED and def have improved and because of that battery goes faster but also still hours of gameplay!!!!! Steam is just a pc handheld trying to compete and truthfully Nintendo switch OLED and Xbox are def better then pc pc is outdated and the deck proves otherwise that it's just not worth the money with that smaller looking screen and when them joysticks screw up there's no replacement at all......valve from what I hear the name they need to step up with systems and I have games I emulate on my phone that run really well and look great........that deck tho it's a wanna be looking sorta thing that just doesn't fit in with the switch or Xbox and it trys to be a game console on the go but just fails miserably no matter how hard it trys 😁 and they're not the only ones who people try to make it out like they care.....switch and Xbox are the way to go!!!!!!

Also there's a lotta games cheap on Nintendo eShop and plus other games ost like 60 bucks or more and they're not Nintendo soooooooo 🤷

Battery life is fine ultimately you have to take in to account that for a 2 hour life you are running full PC games at higher resolution and quality settings. All things being equal though they are very similar, take Witcher 3 for instance, being generous it lasts 3 hours on the Switch but if you lock it to 30 fps and medium settings you will get 4 on the SD, it all depends on how far you push it.

The battery life on the switch is cap

The steam deck is infinitely better than the Switch in every category that matters. But, GPD Win 4 is better than the Deck.
