Nintendo really said “We take down mods but Dream? Not even I would mess with that”

They recently took down 450 of my mod videos last month, nuked every single Smash Wii U video that were YEARS old, most ot my Ultimate video and literally EVERYTHING else I covered, Mario Kart Wii, Deluxe, Mario 64 DS, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker etc. etc. etc. Some of my videos they blocked DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ANY MODS IN THEM. I'm in the process of slowly getting some of the videos back but the process is EXTREMELY slow, especially since I haven't gotten the 7 day appeal feature yet. Also before this happened some of my mod videos that were blocked hinted at a new anouncement, years ago they blocked 2 of my TTYD Android emulation videos then a few weeks later PMOK was shown off, a MK8Deluxe Sonic mod video I posted was blocked a few days before the Booster Pass was shown and recently an old Daisy mod for Wii U video that had Strikers Daisy in the thumbnail was taken down a few days before Daisy was shown in BL. Weeks after this Daisy video was blocked was when they took everything else down on my channel.

The Kos-Mos Mod looks surprisngly good honestly. I'm not even a fan of anything from the Xeno Franchise.

On the one hand, Nintendo has every right to protect their IPs and take down anything that might interfere with them. But on the other hand, people making mods/fan games is more so a show of respect and love for the series, showing that fans like the games so much they're going out of their way to add even more to them. So while Nintendo does have the right to take down mods and such, I'll never understand why they can't see that the mods aren't meant to hurt the games, rather they're meant to show how much the fans like the game.

i think the biggest reason nintendo took down these mods is that they, for whatever reason, despise how fans modify their games in any way shape or form because it's not their intended vision for said games whatsoever. they much rather you either enjoy nintendo content THEIR way, or you hit the highway, which sucks because most companies have gotten with the times and embraced modders and fangame creators

I love the fact that instead of making a Dream mod for Steve they made a Dream mod for Hero and the models aren't even working right

It's really sad that these well-made mods get taken down, I have several mods ideas but it probably wouldn't be worth the effort.

Wow. Just seeing how amazing these mods like the Goku and Among Us ones are is incredible. It's really a shame all these bans are happening and I hope so that this passes by. I love the modding community and I hope they grow! 🙂

The switch and the games on it made so much money then any console in history and they are really that upset about modding of mostly older games? Mods I see as a work of art that brings a new gameplay experience to older or current games till the next new official game comes out. You forgot to mention that Slippi also worked with LEGAL copies of Melee and that was what the tournament was using. But even when Nintendo was told that no piracy was being done here, they STILL dropped the hammer.

By the time the next smash bros game released Gen 9 and Gen 10 will be the two new current generations of the Pokémon franchise.

I was really hopeful about KOS-MOS getting into the Fighter's Passes...... and even better, possibly promoting a Xenosaga remaster. It would really be cool to see, and Xenosaga coming to a Nintendo console would be a perfect way of recognizing the fact that Monolith has come under their ownership in the years since that franchise was around (of course, Bandai Namco being on good terms with them could only help). Though, aside from never getting to be a Fighter, she couldn't be a Mii costume or even a Spirit...... this being in spite of the fact that Pyra/Mythra came with their own Spirit Board and originate from a game that actually had KOS-MOS in it. But what really confused me is all the stuff that was surrounding KOS-MOS during the DLC period. Aside from that mod, and specifically that mod, being taken down, there was also a prominent leaker, Vergeben (it's been a while, but I think that's what his name was), strangely backpedaling on her "not" being the 5th Fighter in the first pass. Vergeben got a lot of things right prior, so he was hardly without credibility, but when it came to Fighter 5, he did something rather unusual where, rather than hinting at who it was going to be, deconfirmed everyone that it wasn't going to be. Among them, he initially deconfirmed Bandai Namco characters outright....... but then he removed KOS-MOS from his deconfirmation list when he remembered that she was a BanNam character (somewhat understandable, given the aforementioned purchase of Monolith by Nintendo, but KOS-MOS remaining Bandai Namco's property). After that, he wouldn't go on to deconfirm KOS-MOS until a mere day or so before the Fighter was finally revealed to be Byleth (though, Vergeben was able to spoil the Mii costumes early). To this day, I still wonder what was going on...... of course, the simplest explanation could be that Verg actually isn't a leaker and all the things he did get right were just lucky guesses. But if he really was genuine, then what could've been going on behind the scenes that caused him to be momentarily confused on KOS-MOS, a character who would go on to have zero presence in Ultimate at all.

Wait a DAMN MINUTE. "Hold my beer..." As a definite weeb and gamer, I can say that goku has been in/has a lot of video games. Here's some I know/have: All the dragon ball games ( Dragon ball shenron no Nazo, Dragon ball Z: the legend, Dragon ball GT Final Bout, Dragon ball Z buy Retsuden, and MANY MORE.) Inuding Jump Force. So I'd like to see Nintendo TRY and tell me that he can't put goku on do to him not being in a video game
