Whomever is on the marketing department for the game probably knows how to properly promote a horror project. Longlegs did something similar with its teasers, not giving away the name and actors until like the third or fourth teaser. Fear of the unknown is quite effective.

@@pattersong6637 That's what I'm thinking, personally. ESRB ratings are usually obtained 3-6 months (though the latter is usually the result of a game being delayed, like cyberpunk 2077) to release, so it would line up.

I'm just glad the rating is there because that means that it IS just a video game, and their channel didn't get taken over by a demon or something, which was my guess when I first watched this and didn't see the rating.

If Nintendo does a horror game, I hope they don’t skimp out on dark themes and imagery because of their current audience. It would be cool to see a game cater to the people who own nintendo consoles, but usually prefer titles more mature than the Mario’s, and Pokemon’s (such as myself)
