Little known fact, Super mario 64 2 (which was turned into mario 128 said in the video), turned into Super Mario Galaxy (codenamed at the time, Super Mario Revolution which also was the codename of the wii). How it all connects is really interesting! Edit: so I got some stuff wrong, SM64 2 was never developed, but the N64DD version was partially. SM128 was mainly turned into pikmin, but 128 did inspire SMG's sphere walking.

It actually became Pikmin for Gamecube. If you have a copy of Pikmin for your Gamecube you can put it in your PC and play it, they accidently left the files to run the game on PC.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that's correct. I don't believe Mario 128 came from anything. Also, it was just a tech demo. Everyone thinks it was a cancelled Mario game, but no, it was never intended to be a game at all. As far as I know, it never directly turned into one either. However, it DID inspire Pikmin and apparently Super Mario Galaxy to some degree as well like you said. The Pikmin connection is super obvious, but I don't really see any connection between 128 and Galaxy at all. Perhaps someone else reading this who knows more can explain what Galaxy did that was taken from the Mario 128 demo.

Another secret If you wait long enough at the dire dire docks hall, Wario will appear and start chasing you down an endless hall.

No, the wario head chasing you and ending up to catch you is literally the antipiracy thing. When you enter the dire dire docks arena and go to that stand thingy (in a pirated version of sm64) wario's head appears and says: "you want fun? Wario show you fun!" Then you run from him. After a time when u get chased his face will change and speed up then mario's eyes will be suprised and run kinda faster. thats the phase 2 opening. In the end of phase 3 when warios face change and marios speed become a little faster, wario gets a speed up thing and catches mario, eating him. (I forgot what wario did when he catches mario so dont blame me but im sure it has to do with eating and mario)

I got all 120 stars as a kid it took me from like age 7 till i was around 11, it took me so much time because i had no idea what I was doing most of the time. I had so many hours into that save file only for my nephew to erase my save file and the adults to not understand why I was so upset.

I live in europe where the n64 actually released in march 1997. So i was happy to import the N64 at launch from Japan in june '96. The first time i played it... I can never forget. My mates thought i was crazy and didnt believe i had a new Nintendo.. Newer than the SNES they just had been given present 😂

I noticed some odd things while playing Mario 64 on my switch and it's so strange and I'm wondering if anyone else noticed this. When you go to the 2nd bower world to defeat him the one in the basement you will notice some strange demonic faces in the clouds smiling while looking at you while you push up on the right joy cons and have a look around. They all have that beast demon look and there is even one that looks like an alien laying dead his arms spread out over his head and if you look closely it looks like a demon is devouring him feet first. There are so many of them, in different worlds that I probably could find more I have not discovered yet. In the haunted house there are some huge faces and smaller ones they too are all looking at you. The lethal lava one is the same as the first I mentioned. There are so many different faces and disturbing ones , at first I thought this is just an example of an ink blot test or pareidolia but there's so many different ones and almost all are looking and smiling at Mario it's hard to say that it is just a pareidolia effect. Can't be a coincidence can it? Has anyone seen these or mentioned this? We all see different shapes and things in clouds when we look up but most of these are not as subtle when you know about them so let me know if this was noticed and mentioned before love to know if it's just that pareidolia or deliberate? If it was deliberately done and never mentioned before seems odd so let me know? Thank you have a wonderful day.

I honestly can't believe how many people are freaking out over the pronunciation of ocarina. I hear so many pronunciations of that word that I just don't care anymore. The worst is orcarina.
