The reason this game got a remaster is there is a live action show in the works. But man this game was hard back then. I don't even think I made past the first stage as a kid.

Despite been based on the same Disney license property, Aladdin was very different on both Super NES and Sega Genesis (as well as Game Gear and Sega Master System) cause the game was developed by different company. The Super NES version is done by Capcom whereas the Sega Genesis version was done by Sega themselves. After Capcom finished their version, the Aladdin license was given to Sega and they took over the project in making their own version for the Genesis.

I'm seeing all these comments about the live action and how it'll be bad... guys, buy the comics. They're written by Greg Weisman himself and they continue the story that we love so much. There's also Neca figures to buy and next year at CONvergence is the show's 30th anniversary. Maybe not everything coming out about Gargoyles is 100% fantastic but Gargoyles fans are eating well now. Idk why all the negativity

So I knew this was going to be a bad Port. A friend of mine bought the game on impulse cuz he thought it should be awesome.. being the good friend I am I'm playing the original Genesis version so we can suffer together while we play this bad game. 😂 I'm on original hardware with a CRT and the input lag is still bad. But you can definitely get the controls down. Regardless me my friend are suffering in solidarity!!! 😂

I’m honestly really disappointed with this, I was hoping for a remaster like ducktales remastered where the story is more fleshed out and voice acted and they improve the iffy controls and gameplay, I get they wanted to be close to the original as possible, but this was not the way to go. Oh well, at least we still have the neca figures and comics

You may have saved me significant time and money. I like how the classic game looks graphically so I wanted to try this game, and just switch to classic graphics. But then your reveal you can't even switch, it's literally just the old rom included at main menu. If the old graphics were integrated into the remaster, then it could've had widescreen. But they're not integrated like the trailer made it seem. Why would I spend this much for a genesis rom, of a game I don't even think I will play all the way through. Glad you caught some of their lies. And frankly, glad you dosed me with reality; that this game is frustrating anyway.

Not a good time for Gargoyles fans. Poor remaster and you know disney will defintely be screwing up the live action remake.

Huh? You can absolutely switch between old and new graphics in the remaster. On Switch, it’s the R button. Was that not in the review build? It’s a good thing, too. I kept getting hurt by what looked like nothing while climbing a wall on level 1… until I switched tot he old graphics, and realized what I thought were torches on the wall were actually damaging flames. Some visual design.

No, what they should have done was make a whole new game with 3D platform graphics, the ability to glide, and all the characters in it!

Funny how everyone here is letting their decisions will be influenced by a review rather than experiencing the game for themselves. Hard doesn't equal bad.
