Do you have a list of all possible star rolls? I know certain things can only be on light medium or heavy items respectively but I don't want to sit here and try to roll for something that's literally impossible

I got all the armor in this video within 2 hours of savescumming. its actually not that bad tbh. i did about 50 forges and then reset, reset after 10 or 20 is not enough for me based off the long ass loading screen getting back into the game.

@@panoctic I get what they’re trying to do But they’re going about it in such a fuckup way that people are more likely to quit playing than to keep grinding for a bs amount of time

i just go 1. i generally buy enough mats from teahouse before save-blahblah, and then go 10-20 at a time, 1 divine each. if you got like 500+ divines, sure, go for 10 a pop if its rare material forge.

unsure of item lvl, but does +lvl, kinda removes the lower stuff from dropping as much. there's no data i know that says it increases 180 drops tho.

bear or ho is good replacement. alternatively if dmg you take is main problem, go pig main, ho secondary. just know that even with stacked mitigation or all heavy armor, people are still getting hit for 3k+ dmg, so you'll have to pick and chose what you facetank.

I'm no expert but I believe master swordsmans set (the one from the dual swords dojo mission) has always been the best set for dual swords. You get increased attack and defence on dual swords and increased sign of the cross damage from it. On top of it being tanky and having great defense... So I would put that inheritable on at least four pieces of his armour

no need for an update since kunai are shit now. feathers is the only viable ninja thing, which have their own problems despite how powerful they are against yokai. and the best set to scale them is still kato as main.

yah, pretty much no need for it, on graces. normal sets, its easy enough to get to be worth the 1-2% increase per piece

@@PWARGaming yes, but honestly, I've found the best star skill is ki damage, hands down. More damage is nice, but keeping enemies constantly out of ki is always better. Especially with the addition of melee vs zero ki on accessories. But ki damage cannot be tempered on armor, making the star for it well worth the grind. I've been doing double stars on my set bonuses, (one has to be ki damage); and taking any star I can find for graces.

Yeah, I'm not likely to play the game much into NG+, since it has nothing new to offer after the DLCs besides grinding for gear optimization so that you have an easier time grinding more.

This is outdated. Latest DLC makes it possible to transfer a grace to another item provided you have 'soul transfer grace' on it. Also, not playing in NG+ in nioh is like stopping at lvl 60 in diablo 3. You're missing everything that makes nioh so awesome. The game opens there...

@@Macdaddy487 yes, graces and star effects from forging are no longer RNG, instead there will always be a predetermined order in which you get them. Kind of like reforging in Nioh 1. On one hand it can get frustrating, because getting a desired grace + star effect combination on your forged gear is next to impossible now, however on the other hand the order in which you get these graces and star effects is shared between EVERYTHING you can forge - both armor and weapons. So for example if you can determine that Inari grace will appear after 30 tries, you can just smith 29 cheap weapons, and then forge your desired piece of gear for a guaranteed Inari grace, without having to waste tons of rare boss materials.

kubasliwa204 ohhhh shit ! Where can i get a detailed guide on that type of thing ? Cause as of now i’ve just been using the graces based on whatever the hell i happened to pick up lol. But i can imagine forging these things helps you create your build much better

@@Macdaddy487 honestly I'm not 100% sure if everyone has the same grace order lists, so IMO you'd be best off if you simply tried for yourself which graces you get when smithing. Forge like ~50 divine items and write down which graces you get. I used a Google Sheets spreadsheet for that. Forging your own graces is definitely better in that forged items have lower stat requirements, but not necessarily for getting the graces themselves - that depends entirely on which grace you want, and how many tries it will take you to get the desired amount of graced gear. For example, in my case, after forging 100 divines, 16 of them had a Kuzuryu grace, but only 4 were Ebisu.

supposedly for sudama reroll, has to be dotd. i tried on ng+ for maybe 10 rerolls and got no stars on my magatama. but dotd got one in 3-4 rerolls. small sample size, but i'd just go dotd to be safe.

NovaVarium well it depends on how lazily you wanna read it, if you wanna be a little lazy then it’s my way. Both ways, mine and yours, are correct

doesn't work on dotd/dotw, only ng+ (so only divine gear). idk if they patched that out tho. would be pretty scummy if they did. but grave system in general is finicky, could take up to 5-10 minutes to appear. make sure you're both on friend list and BOTH quit game after adding each other.

@@PWARGaming we did that on DotS and i thought the same that it might take 5 15mins to appear but after an hour it still wont appear, the only thing we didnt do is quit the game after adding each other so i guess thats the problem

believe so, but applies to every build, need two weakness, etc. if your not applying it, then your dmg is reduced anyways no matter the build/wpn. least the maeda could save your teammate a weakness use, assuming you can coordinate it.

@@PWARGaming You could just use carnage to buff yourself then transfer the defense down part of it to the boss with the impurity transfer doll. It procs in one attempt and lasts longer than the regular defense down. I don't think impurity transfers can be resisted or immune by anything.

just use 1 weakness then hit with grapple and viola

It's because there's no problem in nioh, just a bunch of people that want everything easily and be done with the game in 20 hours total... It's not fun playing with sudama rerolling WITH save scumming. Just enjoy the game and find that random Uber loot from time to time. Meanwhile you'll get better at the game instead of fishing for the ultimate one shot build that'll bore you in an hour... If you don't want to put some effort into improving yourself via gameplay and not stats, then I'm afraid the game is not for you. There's so much hidden cancelling techniques and other stuff that will improve your dps that many pro players purposely lower their stats to enjoy longer fights. So those 'perfect builds' with perfect stats are not what you're looking for if you want to have fun with the game. I usually go for builds in games but not in nioh, because there's gameplay to be had here unlike dark souls or diablo to name a few where you're much more limited in what you can do.

think so, but active skill dmg on access are pretty low amount. like 2-4% i think, and they clash with melee vs x I imagine.

some people hacked the game. unfortunately even video guys now are hacking gear to show off their "builds" power in the most possible way, without having to grind like you or me.

i only got my sample size and maybe 1-2 japanese videos to go off. 1-2 people on reddit said you dont even need a +20 scroll, so idk whats true. i can only say, i was doing shuten / magara missions, both +20, and sometime along the way, i got a yata mirror. the stream vod is still on my twitch.

@@PWARGaming were those scrolls at least level 360 recommended level or higher? I heard it had to at least be that level.

@@joeyisabsb1 had to be lower, i streamed the whole thing so its all there. think 354 was the mission i got it from, but it could have been the shuten level before it. it was 2 hours into the stream

I got yata mirror from lvl369 scroll not lvl369(+20)

I know you can always upgrade that scroll in case it doesn't. I had a +20 scroll about that level and then I changed it into a 160+20.

@@PWARGaming and just another question. For melee versus zero ki, can that be rolled as a star roll on all accessories? Example I want it on a yasakani magatama because I know certain things are not possible in this game but the game of course doesn't tell you that which is what I hate about it.

Flavio Luis I kept leaving it on rest mode and I played the crap out of ghost of tsushima got the platinum then went to this game and I got through way of the demon and to the dlc but then my ps4 just turning off my itself then it started over heating and then it gave me a red light so I’m just going to wait till Black Friday for a new one I’ll just have to stick with my ps2 :( for now

that would be a development issue on their part of not providing meaningful content and instead replacing that with rng to get the best of the best. scroll lvl is auto shown, even a not-done +20, under attempts used. you can scroll transference to make a scroll a higher lvl i believe

Grind should be part of a stat based game. I spent weeks on Diablo getting legendary gear and months on WoW. The grind isn't the problem for me. Its them reusing content from Nioh 1 as dlc drops.

@@jamesmullins1102 true, but this half an action game, not a pure rpg like diablo. also legendaries are cool and special to be worth grinding for. you can also forge them from the rift girl in d3. these star stats, or grace rng, has little impact on what a build can do, and are just plain random, and is more like "ahh finally got this shit done with" instead of "yes finally i can use this mega op golden hammer legendary for a new build! that is only possible with this!". legendaries are fun to grind for. graces/star stats, especially with the methods being used, are not. but yah, not surprised at reused designs. dlc 1 in nioh did the same with only 2 new enemies and the rest redesigns (snowclops/para kappa). bosses excluded ofc. i'm fine with yata being that "legendary", but meh for the rest.

It's personal preference for sure. I love the grind but was super disappointed with the new dlc.

You still can beat dotd with most builds from dots. I am still using my fire/imakomei build with a bit of purity added in for dotd

On Nioh one you can have the reflect on your hands armor for ethereal gear. Hopefully they bring that back. I use a switch glaive as a secondary myself so Yata is pointless for me too. Besides you can shoot the ranger in the face or run up and clap their cheeks. u...u

Firearms in general have a low drop rate. I hate farming for them.

@@pasta1169 I wanna upgrade my bow build but there's no fast way to farm them (My bow is fully perked out and is only +3).Luckily I got a +17 cannon for my build as a drop.

To be ready for the new difficulty coming in the next dlc! It really helps. I almost beat the entire ng++ with my ng+ build which I know a lot of players has done so too

From what i read on a reddit thread they mentioned that it doesnt scals to yokai. But someone else said they were running golden gourd/yatagarsu and dealing 10k. So if i were to guess I'd say projectile so im not to sure. Hope that helps.

nah, they didn't do shit in nioh 1 for it, they wont do it for 2. waiting is a fine strat tho, but in the end you'll be doing the same thing if they don't change the rng, which you probably should be more concerned about than them fixing savescumming.

PWARGaming the Capcom team for MHW did “fix” this save scumming issue by making the decorations you meld at the elder melder fixed (even after playing 1500hrs I still haven’t gotten a Attack/Handicraft +4 deco) so I wouldn’t say it’s impossible for Team Ninja to do the same.

@@johnstoneface4115 not impossible. but are you guys really concerned about fixing this asap over something like save editors which are STILL in the game since nioh 1, and ruin co-op? lets get our priorities straight. all they had to do was no auto-save after forging, and then it would be no different then suda rerolling. should that be patched too since its effectively resetting the game back to last save instead of what you "should" be doing and having to rerun the mission to use the big suda again??
