I listen to all kinds of music like Hawaiian, Reggae, Rock, Classical, Ska, Big Band, Jazz, Okinawan, Japanese, Belly Dancing, Samba, Latin, Panjabi, Rap, Hip Hop, Funk, R&B, Pop, almost anything except I don't really care for Metal anymore lol although I used to. Michele Romero cool they are both good! I used to listen to metal and punk but, I used to be more agro lol! It's still good just a mood thing I guess like you said. I'm so mellow now days.

@@PhotoLukeHawaii Hahaha I grew up on rock, classical, blues, you name it. Back in the day(tm) radio station KKUA used to play everything all mixed up, Led Zeppelin, The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B, Cheech & Chong skits, you name it. Plus my dad was really into some experimental types of music and he and I were huge Isao Tomita fans - the kids in my high school had no idea how much more hip my dad was! But I am coming to love Obon music and taiko too!

alex Carter that's awesome! Good to know there's so much obon appreciating in San Jose! I saw a video on an awesome taiko group there that looked like old school swing/big band doing taiko! So cool what you folks are doing up there!!!

Dan Thompson oh cool! Did they come with it this year or has it been out for a while? I guess there's only so many Bon Dance worthy songs. I mean now days there's a lot more than before but, I'm sure a sensei will find a song and want to use it and maybe another sensei eventually hears that same song and wants to do an odori to it to with or without the knowledge someone else was using it already. Do you folks new songs every year like we do? We usually have new dances by certain groups every year. Like this one is Bando's and we also have Oahu Soto Mission, Central Oahu, Koboji, Kaneohe Sakura Ladies, Iwakuni Odori Aiko Kai, Honolulu Fukushima Bon Dance Club, Wahiawa Hongwanji, Millilani Hongwanji, Koganji.
