I am an Eastern Orthodox monastic and I wear niqab because I feel God has called me to wear it. At one time, all Christian ladies veiled and some even covered the face with some sort of veil. So I am returning to an older tradition. I love that fully covering allows me to maintain purdah, even when I must leave my home. May Allah help us all to always remain modest.

Manusia yang paling layak disebut ada kehormatan, adalah seorang hamba yang jiwanya letih kepenatan dan longlai ,hanya semata-mata hanya menjaga kehormatannya dan memperjuangkan Islam. Biarlah kita diketawakan manusia kerana mengikut syariat Allah, asalkan tidak diketawakan syaitan kerana menjadi temannya di neraka kelak.

Wear niqaab because: When sayyadina Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) was asked about the aayah (interpretation of the meaning): يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُل لِّأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَن يُعْرَ‌فْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّـهُ غَفُورً‌ا رَّ‌حِيمًا ﴿٥٩﴾ “O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies” (Ref: Surah al-Ahzaab 33 verse: 59) He covered his face, leaving only one eye showing. This indicates that what was meant by the aayah was covering the face. This was the interpretation of Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) of this aayah, as narrated from him by ‘Ubaydah al-Salmaani when he asked him about it, wallahu a'alam. This is what Allaah azza wa jallah ordered women to do that.

i assume this is in Malaysia i think so since.. i have been there once in my life.. and i do like people wear niqab dont know why but i jsut like it it feel calm look their that way.. and ridiculous u all look so pretty when wear niqab..

As I watch the tragic news of the terrible earth quake in Turkey and Syria, 06 Feb 2023, I fail to understand how anyone could possibly believe that a god exists let alone a god who is concerned by what women wear on their heads but is quite happy to allow thousands of men women and children to die a horrible death or be severely injured.

She isn't known for wearing a veil though. She is known for doing God's will. Devout women have responsibility in this world today, where God is ignored so often. Covering their faces doesn't help
