Imagine your friend invites you to see his band rehearse and you hear this. Then, in 1991, you see that friend and his band on MTV. I can't imagine how cool that must've felt for the people who went to this rehearsal.

I played in a couple bands in the Rochester, NY metal scene in the 1990s alongside Lethargy. It was surreal to see Brann & Bill in Mastodon touring with Metallica, Black Sabbath, and headlining their own world tours a few years later.

@smarkmalark
@smarkmalark Жыл бұрын
@@luidi3054 What do you mean it wouldn’t be possible? Half the songs on that album were already made through Chad and one song played with Dale Crover. Dave just preformed them, they were already signed to a major label before Dave even joined to. Dave is amazing, and hard hitting, but if I’m being truly honest any drummer could have been able to make and play those parts. Dave just had great personality was all, of course we couldn’t replace Dave from his contributions, and likeness, but the parts he created were probably very easy to come up with. I hate seeing people act like Dave is the huge reason Nirvana made it off their feet and into the mainstream. The man was great, but also just had like 65% pure luck

This is what we outcasts did in the suburbs in the 80s. We jammed in basements and garages, later stole liquor from a parent, and gathered wherever the least adult supervision was. We talked, smoked and laughed and drank for hours while Jane's Addiction howled through a blown boombox speaker. If it was summer, we smelled of pine-scented mosquito repellent, chlorine and fresh sweat. If all went well, one of us even got under Jenny C.'s bra by the end of the night, as air conditioners droned monotonously in the background in between cicada choruses. The was thick and humid and wonderful. I hope young people are still having these experiences. Also, rad video!

Could u imagine if they released this song? Don't get me wrong.. I love LedZep but, They really give it an edgy vibe and it sounds a bit faster. It reminds me of the typical thrash metal song ya know? Edit: I realize that it's not just like Thrash or Metal in general but my point was that it does sound faster than the original studio version and it seems more punk (is what I should have said). I didn't say this was better than the original either. I'm just saying that this isn't that bad. Obviously it's not better because the quality of the sound and the overall structure of the room didn't help either with the sound. My stance on this is that it is quite fast and it seems more punk of all things. Still, the original does reign over this. Respectfully.

Why in the heck people keep saying this? Are we watching 2 different videos or something? Kurt is the dude on the left singing into the mic that is against the wall (thus he is facing the wall and we don't see his mouth but he gets near the mic every time he emits audible sound from his mouth). They only show him a short time. Not being a smart ass, I'm just making sure we're actually watching the same video cuz ppl are commenting like they're not seeing the same video I am.

[Intro] (2, 3, 4) [Chorus] Ahh! Ahh! We come from the land Of the ice and snow From the midnight sun Where the hot springs blow [Verse 1] The hammer of the gods Will drive our ships to new lands To fight the horde Sing and cry Valhalla, I am coming [Hook] On we sweep with threshing oar Our only goal will be the western shore [Chorus] Ahh! Ahh! We come from the land Of the ice and snow From the midnight sun Where the hot springs blow [Verse 2] How soft your fields so green Can whisper tales of gore Of how we calmed the tides of war We are your overlords [Hook] On we sweep with threshing oar Our only goal will be the western shore [Outro] So now you'd better stop And rebuild all your ruins For peace and trust can win the day Despite of all your losing

You guys in the replies hating on op for asking are so goddamn pretentious. you don't need to immediately get defensive just because someone doesn't recognize a celebrity who died decades ago in a pixelated old video that's barely 144p. my man just wanted to know if it's real because KZfaq videos lie in the title constantly. there's no need to act so weird about it and make people think nirvana fans are a bunch of insecure pricks. goddamn.
