Just saw the UK one, which benefitted greatly from Dave and Krist’s participation. I really wish they would have explored that Dave actually lived in a squat The Netherlands near the end of his band Scream, and it may have been a Dutch girlfriend who had The Bleach tape. Also - Love Buzz is from a Dutch Band. They played it a lot in the documentary but didn’t dig into the history of it.

last two minutes; Q; So what happened next, did you try something else ? (after the Rome incident) A; We rescheduled the gig, to be held a few months later (at Ahoy). We told the fans to hold on to their tickets. But then he died in April, so ofc that was the end. People could get their money back when they returned their ticket, but to our surprise many people did not. But who knows where they are.. I've seen a few online. Q; They held on to them, because they loved the band? A; Probably, yes. 37 guilders was the ticketprice -around 18 euros today. last bit; We're making this documentary now, because he (Kurt) comitted suicide, but you can tell from the (Paradiso) recording what a great band they were. So that's the real reason for these documentaries, because it was great.

The Dutch people seem very straightforward. They are extremely inteligent, dont put up with bullshit easily. Also Good natured. They are pretty unique people.

@@jochemjonker3362 Sadly McDonalds is the norm everywhere in Europe and in all "democratic " and "free" societies that are complying with US norms. I hope one day Western Europe will get free from the shackals of "multiculturalism" and reestablish their own unique identities and not be known as the caricatures American media makes them to be.

It's a bit eerie that their notorious (and ridiculous) energy right before fame -was lost and may have been one of the weird reasons Kurt offed himself. In the last period he would reminisce about that period as something long ago. I know much of it was just the drugs taking hold, but it's a stark contrast when people call Nirvana depressing music but then you listen to Nevermind and you feel like your heart is growing a couple.

I find some of these people's memory's a little suspicious and distorted. Dragging Kurt by his ear..Really?!! I feel it's more likely a figurative expression than a literal one. I cant imagine Kurt being dragged by his ear all the way down a flight of stairs without rebelling. Plus didn't he have a bunch of people around him to intercept this, especially after he was already throat grabbed on stage ? Also find it hard to believe Kurt needed help to propose. And the Paradiso programmer actually saw him take drugs? Or could it be that the artist that he was, Kurt was able to channel his passion and anger to give a great performance at 24? Kurt doesn't sound doped up, he sounds tired but tapping in to the adrenaline of a show. Interesting how some one that doesnt play in a band there selfs makes a comment like that. Of course I wasn't there and they where, but I know from my own experience that time does things to the memory and some people just like to say stupid shit. Just saying. Ps. The lady can't even tell the difference between Kurt and Dave's voice while she saw them perform several times? Other than that great to see new footage and get some more background information from those early tours.

Fight and proposal 100% true. Mythbuilding makes people say stupid shit.

While I agree with you on a lot of things here. I'm sorry to tell you that started his heroin ADDICTION right there in Amsterdam. He said so himself in his biography. Also, there is this crazy version of Come As you Are. Look how he starts sweating there. I'm pretty sure it's a side effect of the drug(s). And if he saw him taking drug that also can mean a lot of things like acid, speed and so on.
