The simplicity of Nirvana was their greatest strength. A lot of people love to hate on Kurt for his guitar playing, but it was that simplicity that led to the rawness and authenticity of his sound. To me, he was a musical genius. To able to use the most basic of chords and have a voice gifted from heaven and hell, and produce art like this is beautiful. To me, Kurt was a musical genius, and a beautiful soul, it's a shame that he didn't see that.

This song is weird musically speaking. The vocal melody for the verse is in a basic minor scale bbut the chords that go along with the melody only make half-way sense. The “I’m So happy” makes sense with the chords and when he sings “todaaaay” on a c and makes it a C major with his voice and slides it to a D which makes no sense in the verse. When he says “friends” it works with the B he slides back to. There is no C or D in the D flat minor scale vocal melody he uses. It makes it sound unique. Which is probably why he ran out of ideas for the chorus and just went with “yeah”
@ridehead87713 жыл бұрын
You can be a flashy player but the question is can you write a song? Kurt's was a weak guitar player but that didn't stop him from writing songs, he wrote some of the greatest songs ever. In the music business that's what it takes really.

If you ever, at one point in your life, struggled with fitting in and having no one else but yourself at times, you probably enjoy this song a lot. @@Alex-rv6sq do you mean for the lows when you have a bipolar disorder?
@auwee72514 жыл бұрын
@@Alex-rv6sq It's not an antidepressant, it is a mood stabilizing medicine made up of the natural element lithium. It is not in the class of SSRIs, SNRIs, or other antidepressant classes. If it were an antidepressant, it would be prescribed for people with unipolar depression, which it is not approved for. It's only approved to treat severe cases of bipolar disorder. I would know this since I have bipolar disorder and this is one of the medications I was offered to try but declined for an antidepressant and antipsychotic combo.
@endicottmr4 жыл бұрын
It’s one of the few true mood stabilizers we have out. It’s FDA approved for bipolar disorder but I also prescribe it for depression as an adjunct to an antidepressant and for borderline personality disorder. It treats mood lability (rapidly changing emotions) which can happen in all three disorders.

In honor of kurt, if you are struggling with the same ugly feelings he did, youre gonna be fine. Highs and lows come and go but please dont give a permanent solution to a temporary problem. You have someone who loves you, someones world would be crushed if something happened to you. "No one care about me" i dont know your situation bit i know atleast one person in this world loves you. Youre doing amazing, mistakes and all and i hope you know that this pain will end. Itll end and life will get better. Work for it, take pride in your happiness, help others and live your life. You can do this, i believe in you ❤ To whomever stumbled upon this and is in pain. I love you and i care about you and your life. Please keep going, keep fighting. We are survivors 💞😚

Prostitute- 1) a person who engages in ***ual ****course in exchange for pay. 2) A PERSON (such as a writer or painter) WHO DELIBERATELY DEBASES HIS OR HER TALENTS (as for money). Kurt Cobain, I'm sure was feeling conviction in his spirit. I can definitely see how this represents Bipolar Sydrome. I love how in the parts before and after he screams "Yeah" he simply changes his emotion as far as "I'm so excited, I'm so happy, I'm so ugly". Kurt's writing is so vivid we can barely understand what some of his songs are talking about. If only we knew.

lithium- It is not known how lithium works to stabilize a person's mood. However, it does act on the central nervous system. It helps you to have more control over your emotions and helps you cope better with the problems of living. i think lithium is like a metaphor for his addiction. ill explain, many times heroin dealer also sell crack and heroin is isn't always available so they try to push it on heroin addicts and this song is a figurative explanation of that. i can only imagine he knew pills like a pharmacist being a junkie and made the connection and song when someone offered him some when he couldn't score once. either that or i have absolutely no idea what this song is about.

see people think nirvana went mainstream. that's not true. not the slightest bit. mainstream went nirvana. that rarely happens to artists. maybe once in a generation. and for gen X it was Kurt. for millennials I would probably say eminem. every other artist/band conforms and adapts their style to appeal to demographics and make hits. kurt never did. he made his own music his own way and was an artist in every sense of the word. he was truly gifted. unfortunately gifted people often struggle with their place in the world and are tortured and suffer. some find the strength to survive. others succumb to their own genius in a twist of cruel irony. kurt was one of them. tragic indeed, but if you look throughout history he suffered the same fate many other tortured, gifted, genius artists do. by their own hand.

Adam Hohnadel same sentiments. People say Elvis is still alive. There will always be conspiracies. But for the people who where there, they know what's up. Hard drugs and mental illness do not mix well. People seem to forget all of Kurt's previous suicidal statements actions and tendencies not too mention the ODs. Do people not know how much of a monster heroin really is? That's the saddest thing to come out of this travesty. A lack of awareness concerning drugs and suicide due to a shifting focus on conspiracies about money and murder. What I like to remember most about Kurt Cobain was how often he told people to fuck off and how much he hated people, even his own fans. If anything he was a genius in that respect. He hated bro culture, mainstream media, and stupid fucking people in general. I know he can rest at peace but these dumb fucks down here completely missed his message, and its fucking sad. Hearing teen spirit in a Disney movie hurt my gut so bad. Rest in peace man, and fuck all you morons out there.
