Nirvana - Milk It (Bass Cover)

Milk It! This Bass line is very repetitive but very cool. The verses are a little tricky because the Drums go to a half-time feel while the Bass stays the same.
I recorded this one Direct into pro tools with no amp. Then I ran the recorded Bass track through an OCD overdrive pedal and back into pro tools onto a separate track. The overdrive is only over the heavy parts but the clean Bass track is always playing.

@BassistBob81 Do you tune your bass way down like Krist Novoselic did? I read that he would tune way down even when Kurt was tuned to standard in order to get that fat sound.

This song doesn't call for a complicated changing bass line. It calls for a hammer like grunge badass bass line that remains the same. Less is more in music sometimes.
