@salzendezupp3 жыл бұрын
Grohl always gave credits for this to Chad
@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer3 жыл бұрын
There's always at least one... Congratulations, you're "that guy" for this comments section doing the obligatory propping up of Chad Channing. A drummer with wonky timing, herky-jerky fills and a "pitter patter" sound and playing style. A drummer they settled for and spent every following day actively trying to replace. All this inflating of his ability and importance because he "came up with" the "cha-cha, boom, gunga-gunga" fill on "In Bloom" (a fill I'd argue almost any drummer would've naturally found due to the structure of the riff) and he's "such a nice, humble guy." Yeah, sure he's a real sweetheart but can we stop acting like he's fkn Ringo Starr or something? His contributions to Nirvana are getting a bit put out of proportion by bleeding heart fans who are a sucker for a quiet nice guy. I'd argue that his most important contribution was the frustration he caused Kurt and Krist by being such a mediocre and inconsistent "pop gun" drummer that it inspired them to start smashing their equipment.
