Photo by Frank Micelotta RIOT EARTH's video inspired this audio edit. The MTV Unplugged Rock Band stems were used to put this together. Also, I used an RVC model of Kurt's Unplugged voice that I trained myself.

This is exactly what I would expect it to sound like Sappys a great song! This would be my favorite on the album if they really did perform it

This one (another acoustic version) I heard just 2004. Ten years Geffen released this Nov 1993 gig, those sounds are very wonderfully together. These Unplugged In NY -drums are so regognizable. That live version is that where we learned to play this I have had now 27 years on cassette. Thanks about this.

Very nice. Very nice. Even 5 years ago it's hard to believe this could ever exist in a believable format but the guitar, the dynamics, the voice - all extremely authentic.

Thank you. Looks like the usage of video game multitracks really helped to get that feeling

This song should definitley have been on either Nevermind or In Utero. I know an earlier version of it goes back pre-Bleach days, and I always wondered why it just didnt make the final lineup on an album overall. Its one of their best. The "Nevermind" demo of it is my favourite. Melody and meloncholy together, with a really emotive solo from Kurt. This new "Unplugged" version from you once again highlights the songs ability to blend into any Nirvana era. It works wonders here, it sounds like yes, it easily could have made the original recording and have it officially stamped into the album list.

I like how the song has kinda always been there in different eras, it's so cool that we are able to experience its transition from early years till In Utero sessions. (I like the "Nevermind" version very much myself, this one and other outtakes is a great inside look into the process of this record's creation)

@@NeverSaid I first heard the Nevermind version just over 30 years ago, on a CD Bootleg called "Rough Tapes". It was a collection of BBC radio sessions, and some rough and unready renditions of Nevermind songs like In Bloom, along with Sappy (titled "Another Rule" on the disc), and "D7". The Nevermind Sappy- Imagine it on Nevermind right after Drain You. It sounds totally suited and perfect. After the double rush of Territorial Pissings and Drain You, Sappys mournful melodies are amazing. As much as I love Lounge Act and think its pacings and tempo also follows Drain You nicely- Sappy is almost too good to be true. Like Come as you Are on side 1, it offers a chorus pedal effected reflection, lush lull midway, before Stay Away crashes in and down. When listening to Nevermind nxt time mate- listen to the Nevermind Sappy right after Drain You. Its perfect!!

Think this is my favourite version of this song. Amazing idea to train the voice to a different Kurt. Think all the AO models out there are based of Nevermind Kurt, which doesn't suit everything. Would like to hear this with accordion and cello on parts too

Caralho, gostei demais. The Servants, screen, old age, etc...

It was only possible thanks to MTV Unplugged multitracks from video games. Only a few songs are available, but even then, the files were good enough to choose the best audio bits (in my mind) from each instrument track.

I used different MTV Unplugged multitrack files from videogames like Rock Band/Guitar Hero & pieced stuff together the way I thought would fit the Unplugged version of this song (in reality the band would've done a far better job, but I still wanted to know if anything can be done to make this idea more than just a "what if")
