How To Relocate The Battery In Your 240SX Coupe To The Trunk
I show you guys step by step how to move the battery from the front of the car to the trunk in a clear video. My car has an intercooler pipe going through the battery try and the last owner put in a tiny motorcycle battery that kept dying. Instead of spending another $150 on a tiny battery, I relocated the battery from the engine bay to the passenger side of the trunk. (Ingenious battery hack)!
Supplies:
Battery
Battery tray
Tie downs
Approximately 20’ of 0 gauge or 4 gauge wire
2-3’ of wire for a ground
Cable ends
Power splitter
250A fuse
Misc bolts
Power Distribution Block:

A year ago, I didn't really know what an s13 was other than seeing the rare one pass by, Initial D and a few movies/games. There was not a big import scene where I live. I had sold my last project car about 10 years ago. At the time, I was very into American muscle cars, but family comes first and toys like this are expensive. I bought my 240sx in July 2018 after watching it sit on craigslist for 3 months (love at first sight). This is my first fuel injected/turbo project too. I'm finding answers to all my questions thanks to videos like yours.

Hey! Why'd you get rid of the clip that gives power to the fusebox instead of adjusting the other side of it to connect to the power splitter you're hooking up? Isn't having that clip there like a failsafe, or like, a point where you can disconnect it without too much of an extra hassle?

really dumb question but what was the cold cranking amps of the new battery that you put in the trunk? i bought the set up that you suggested but im not sure if ill do damage seeing as how the fuse was for 250 and the battery that i have puts out 750 cold cranking amps? does it correlate at all?
@revmatchtv

The battery I used has 750 CCA. Since the battery cable is now so long compared to OEM, the fuse is there to stop the cable from becoming a giant heating element should the battery get hit in an accident or some type of other electrical malfunction.
