Thanks very much for this video! Couldn't have gotten it done without it. Only thing I had to do differently was remove the two bolts first because I couldn't get my hands to harness S.Thanks once again for sharing your expertise.

Thanks for this informative video... it helps me a lot especially the suggestion of a deep socket.. all in all paid $65 for the starter and $6 for the socket..saves me a lot more than switching to geico.. 😊

Thanks for the great video. I would have loved it if you made more videos for the Cube. But seeing that this video was done 6 years ago I think you would have sold your Cube already. 😆

This procedure was done on a friend's Cube who still owns that same Cube. Do you need help with any specific procedure?

Can you do a quick video of removing an alternator on this vehicle

Amazing video my man! Good karma is coming your way. I have a 2010 cube and followed your video step by step. Went to Autozone and had them test my old starter. It passed the first 2 times and then failed the 3rd. Just dropped a Duralast starter in their with a lifetime warranty and the little Cube fired right up. I would like to mention that the new starter has a different sound when firing up the motor. Is this normal? Thanks for all the great info. Happy holidays.

About how long did it take you and how much did the part cost?

What can I use to get the 2 starter bolts off. I can't break them loose.
@hanoihancock4 жыл бұрын
Fixing cars is the easy part. Getting stuck bolts unstuck is the hard part:). I suggest spraying the bolts with super penetrating oil for a few days. Also, get a breaker bar, a variety of socket extensions, and a wobble adapter to ensure you're getting a proper grip with good leverage Good luck!

Thank you for your help. This is my first repair that I am doing and your video is great.

For me I had to disconnect the radiator hose in the way, it allowed for more space and made it possible!

How did you know the starter was bad on the cube? Mine just clicks once battery is new im thinking its the starter
@hanoihancock4 жыл бұрын
Confirm it's not a battery problem first by swapping in a new battery or testing the current one.

@@hanoihancock I have the same question cause my wife's will start very seldom but it does which leads me to believe it's the solenoid so bein the all one unit I'm thinking it's the starter as we have a brand new battery
@hanoihancock2 жыл бұрын
@@TattedTommysTv Yeah. If you have a brand new battery and that battery is fully charged and you still have the problem, I suspect the starter is bad.

EIGHTEEN millimeter? WHY NISSAN? WHYYYYYY? I have literally been working on BMWs both two and four wheeled, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki motorcycles for 20 years and I have NEVER seen an 18mm bolt head. I don't even own an 18mm socket to gather dust in my toolbox alongside my 9, 15, and 16mm sockets and wrenches.
