2018 Nissan Frontier stereo install. D40 dash parts and OEM camera integration. Steering wheel controls. This is a 2018 SV Crew Cab 2wd short bed. Should be same for most USA made D40s and possibly Xterra and Titan models. Android auto and Apple carplay.
Parts used:
Metra - 70-7552 harness wire adapter 2007 up (I used 2, I needed extra wires for steering controls)
PAC - SWI-RC-1 for steering wheel control adapter
Antenna Works - 40-NI12 Antenna adapter 2007 up
Scosche - CRTNN02 Camera adapter for OEM tailgate camera
Spiral Audiio - UX-NI005 OEM USB adapter for Android Auto
PAC BEST - BKNDK780 Dash adapter to fill the voids
Microphone - not available - used one provided with radio.

did you ever figure out how to utilize the factory microphone built into the top panel? & in turn, how did the attached external microphone work out for you, call quality sound alright?

Have you ever installed on a Nissan that has the Rockford fosgate system? My 2015 xterra has it and I’m stuck since it has an additional harness. My aftermarket powers up but no sound. Lastly on your daughter’s stereo that input is for steering wheel controls. I had that same stereo on my 2014 Sentra that had the controls and that’s where it plugged into.

Currently dealing with this on my 2017 Titan SV. I have the base display radio with no factory nav and no camera. My 20 pin harness is missing pins 6, 15, and 16. For the PAC steering wheel controls… so idk how my factory radio ever received steering wheel inputs….

I have a 2013 Frontier SV with the oem camera on the tail gate and I’ve been looking for the camera adapter for an aftermarket pioneer stereo but cant find it anywhere. Any idea where i can find it?

I have a 2013 altima s with the basic radio and I pulled the 5 inch screen and camera from the scrap yard. Can you point me in the direction to get it installed?

Did you have an adapter for the factory steering wheel control harness? Or did you splice into other wires? I bought the same SWC interface you bought, I have a 2016 S model

I love my truck but I hate the Nissan factory radio I get so frustrated dealing with it, it has trouble connecting to Bluetooth all the time maybe my factory unit was a lemon 🍋 🤷‍♂️ nevertheless I appreciate the tutorial I’m definitely going to install an aftermarket head unit

i’ve got a 2012 frontier sv im trying to put a 7in touchscreen deck in and a 12in fosgate sub in.. what harnesses to i need?

I'm working on a 2021 Frontier. That dash kit is very hard to find but I would rather get the one you did after seeing how well it fits. If everything goes right I will let you know, then you can update the title to say 2013-2021 :) I'm sure it will work, mine looks the same so far..

Where do you buy your harness adapter connectors from? I bought one off of ebay and it is missing wires. Also my old radio has the old style antenna connection for my siriusXM but the new radio has a small round plug with 10 pins in it. Is there an adapter I can buy to keep my existing sat. tuner?

I installed my radio by splicing and soldering the cables together without the use of a wire harness everything works fine but I can’t find a steering wheel control adapter the one you suggested doesn’t have cable inputs for it

Ehh I got the Panasonic 7 inch stock on my 2019 and the radio goes in and out when switching songs on Bluetooth and have tons of connection issues and signal issueslooks like they haven't fixed that issue

I have a 2019 Frontier... I ordered a Scosche CRTNN02 harness, the plug doesn't fit the factory plug. Would you happen to know or have a diagram with which wires on the factory plug are used so that maybe i can just tap into those wires with the CRTNN02 harness? Thanks in advance...
