I’ve always preferred driving in GTA V than on any racing game because of actual traffic and pedestrians. It is sad industry that racing games are not adopting GTA style sandbox design.

They did have pedestrians in The Crew 2. But for whatever reason they're gone in Motorfest and traffic seems less dense than Tc2.
