I see that this is old video.... but....Way back in the 80s we took this same payload spring and put it on top. Then Removed the rubber stops in top of the axle when you remove the U-Bolts, then remove the rubber stops from both of the front wheels. Would break the lane reflectors when changing lanes but the ride was smooooth after doing this. Put a block under the bottom, then let the truck down, the weight will flatten the springs so the flat one will sit down on the others. Found this video after missing miy truck from back in the day and wanted to look for one again. Not lowered now....Im old

a shop can hammer out the bolt which im sure bu now u got it fixed

You were soppused to,take a c clamp and,pull the helper leaf... That's the flat leaf down. And install a new,center pin to hold the leaf pack together that's where you get the drop but still keep the stiffer ride,

How much axle wrap did you get?

Man I got mine on 18 inch titan wheels. I already got 2 inch blocks but I want to lower it more. but the bad thing is that the tires stick out. like 2cm and the front wheels do too. I like that tailgate though 😂 It's pretty dope

It is 4 years later.. what did you do about the shock bolt? I was going to suggest you grind off the head and add a new bolt 6 inches long?

fyi you have to bend the over leaf spring to match the arch of the whole leaf pack

I completely flipped my leafs once. My axle was literally being pressed up against the frame rails. It was physically as low as it could possibly be without notching the frame. That thing rode like SHIT! Didn't even have rear shocks as there was no point. Absolutely zero suspension travel, the only suspension I had was in the tire pressure. Never Again! lmao
