See. I have two opinions on it. They are safer than 2-wheelers and fine for City use but surely you should look for 6 airbags or a better GNCAP car if the price overlaps. I would never settle for less.

Typical dumb Magnite Fanboys. Being a safe car and having good fit and finish and good cabin quality are different things. Agree that Magnite provides a large, spacious and good looking car at low price but let's also accept the fact that Nissan cut the cost by providing inferior quality cabin quality, poorer fit amd finished body, not to even mention about very underpowered and unrefined NT engine, which most Magnite customers buy over Turbo. Understand that cutting cost is no any problem at all - every company does it esp in under 10 lakhs through one way or other, the only problem is the Fanboys not ready to accept anything negative about their car and ready to defend it to any extent. Tata also does it in Punch. They sell their 5 star safety rating like anything, especially garnished with 'Desh ka Loha' along with their more SUV like stanch in the segment with rugged body and high seating position. To offer all these, Tata cut cost obviously on its tractor like engine and lack of many modern basic features like Hill Hold Assist, Rear AC Vent etc with an outdated old laggy infotainment display plus a very basic cabin. Is it wrong? No, cutting cost is necessary to keep their price aggressive. Then what's wrong? The Tata Fanboys not ready to accept that Tata had even compromised on something on Punch. In 7-10 lakh segment, the car that ticks most of the boxes among these sub-compact or micro SUV segment is the Exter. It also has some compromised areas like 15 inch wheel across all variant but it is the most balanced car in the segment

@@Sarzonk It's very good for the city. It's very comfortable to drive with a single foot. The CVT is super smooth. There's a little rubber band effect but it won't bother us. City mileage is around 11 to 13 with a light foot. Heavy foot on accelerator will drop this to 10 or below. On highways it gives 17 to 20 if you maintain a constant speed of 80 to 90kmph. If you increase it beyond 100kmph, mileage goes down to 15. The pickup is excellent in all situations. You can very easily overtake traffic just by putting your foot down. Issues that I'm facing: 1. There's a slight rattling noise from driver side window trim. If i hold it with my elbow while driving, the rattling stops. It's very minor and will only be audible in very quiet conditions. 2. The brakes make a noise daily when starting the car first time. This feels like it happens because of the way they've tuned brake assist and abs. It goes away after about 1 or 2km of driving. The options that i considered were Nexon automatic, brezza automatic, kiger and Magnite. Nexon had AMT and it wasn't smooth. Brezza had a very nice torque converter but it didn't have much performance compared to magnite and kiger turbo engines. But brezza was very comfortable. It just didn't have immediate pickup when you put your foot down, the engine used to rev up then the gear shifted down and then we'd feel the pick-up. Quite lethargic compared to magnite and kiger. I didn't even consider venue and sonet because they were 3 star rated cars. I didn't visit their showrooms. I have 2 service centres of Nissan within 10km from where i live and so it made sense to me to buy it. However most people will not have a service center close by. Then it wouldn't be ideal to buy Magnite. If you want a sub 4 metre compact SUV, Nexon is very good as long as you don't need an automatic (now it also comes with DCA in the new variant so you can consider that). However if your budget is limited like me (i had a budget of 11 lakhs on road, but i extended it to 13lakhs for magnite. If i had to buy brezza it would've been 14 or 15 depending on the base or mid variants. Top variant is 17 lakhs on road! Suzuki is crazy with its pricing. You can also consider kiger if Renault service centres are near by. Kiger had better suspension and better steering feel and stronger build feel. But it had some ergonomic issues and rear cabin felt claustrophobic so my family voted for magnite instead of kiger.

*Paaji......Nissan Magnite is a good option for those who wants to buy a compact hatch or 1st time buyers. Because he is often a budget restricted buyer. For the price of Compact hatch he might get attracted since it offers better Cabin Space. At the same time he is not aware of under the hood noisy 1.0 underpowered engine but more worried about poor Service Stn Network as well. Hence he might not have trust & confidence on Nissan & Magnite. Against most trusted brands in India Maruti & Hyundai Cars. As it offers low cost of Maintenance & better Service Stn Network. Maybe only 1 from 1000 New Car buyer might take that Big Risk of investing in Nissan-Renault Magnite-Kiger. *Paaji.. आप कितनी भी कोशिश कर लो Nissan's का Datsun Avtaar Magnite-Kiger को नहीं बचा पाओगे* Unless they offer better 1.2 refined engine, upgrade their interior from basics to Quality offerings. Also improve their Showroom nos, Quality of After-Sales Service & Service Stn Network in India. Which is most unlikely or next to impossible because of decline & poor Sales nos. I think offering AMT from the base is their last big effort of survival in India. Nissan globally do have good Quality product portfolio but with Only Magnite in India they will not survive.fir long. Their Suicidal attempt of launching Kicks after 10 years gap at a higher price against Creata has tarnished their Brand image for ever in India. That's my India for You Once rejected you are rejected for ever. They made a mistake of pricing higher against Creata. Magnite offers Substandard or basic interiors. DO whatever you LIKE to. Buyers will not return to your showroom. Opportunity lost is lost for ever. Indian buyers are not forgiving to any Global BRANDS however good you may be. 😛😝😜😂🤣

Mujhe to Bharat NCAP , Asean Ncap, GNCAP ka importance dikh nahi Raha , build , safety kuch nai , as even today Maruti is selling wagonR, Swift at top notch numbers , September sales analysis mai top 2 selling cars. Abhi Nissan ka Magnite sabse affordable price point mai hai but sales dekhiye.

I would pick Verna with 5 stars & 6 airbags

Verna is one of the vehicle having very unstable dynamics!! Its steering has poor feedback. It feels like rowing a boat in the waters!

Hi Gobind Bro, congrats in advance. My vote as an overall product too is for Punch, it is expensive too though but a confident 5 star rated car that sell like hot cakes, almost 13K every month so ecosystem of service, resale and accessories come into the picture too, also BS6.2 engine 1.2 is more refined.

@@SunderdeepSingh sir skoda kushaq monte carlo 1.0 TSI MT.Extremely horrible incident happened with me in middle of the road near solan HP my car suddenly broke down while moving at speed of approx 60 and bad me mujhe service centre se pta chlta hai ke clutch plates gone fly wheel bhi gone as well as slave cylinder which should be covered in warrenty but not considering dont know why sir its not my fault how it can happens at just 21k km .shame on skoda only safety not reliability.this incident happened with me at solan HP and now skodaindia service centre all are trying to blame us and charging approx 30000.its a manufacturing defect sir kindly do needful at least jo bhi skoda 2.0 ki koi bhi gadi plan kar ra hai vo aware ho ske in gadion me problem hain to hain phle choti moti samajh ke ignore kia like rattling noice break noise ac issues and epc etc etc but overall high disappointment sir..

If your intent is to keep the vehicle for more than 10 years, better go with Naturally Aspirated Engines and Torque Converter Transmissions. They're thoroughly reliable. Both technologies matured over 100 years ago. If you're use case is for under 10 years, Turbo + CVT are perfectly capable. These technologies are just 40 years and 30 years old respectively.
