my friend have a 2007 murano awd and I have a 2005 kia Sorento ex 4x4 he wanted to go off-road some trails in Texas we both have street tires so we went he made it haft way after that I had to pull him with my Sorento all the way to get him back to the road, I used my 4x4 low he used his awd lock but the thing is useless..murano is a nice road suv but don't take it off-road after a rainny day it will just spin without moving, if you want a foreign suv to go offloading get 4runner 4x4,montero 4x4, or even a kia Sorento 2009 down.

hbml. himIrenia Rivero yeah the. murano isn't made for off road, its made for city and gravel roads at most yes you can take it off road but goodluck

@Brianna Zachary a Kia Sorento older models , were better offoad than Toyota Prados.as far as axle articulation goes. They were excellent offoad, had limited slip rear diff and low range transfer cases, and ladder chassis. No AWD comes close to that in reality. I owned a 2006 Sorento and used it for what it was designed to do. A vehicle with zero wheel articulation, no low range and weak chassis, is no comparison to a Sorento in any way.

my wife went from an 04 Murano AWD to a 09 Saturn Sky Redline and now has an 07 Lexus GX 470.. definitely went uphill in the off roading capability from the Murano to the Lexus, and it's a MUCH nicer vehicle...

You can lock the awd and it should spin all 4 wheels

There is a 4 wheel lock button. Try it. It does wonders.

In Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia and Chile the first gen Muranos had a 4 speed automatic.

notè que tu murano tiene un cascabeleo, igual que el mio... te recomendaria que le limpiaras los restos de carboncillo... es la mejor soluciòn

Хочу взять мурано, уже смотрел пару, один понравился, из косяков, кондишен не работает, сидуха надорвана водительская, память не работает, гур где то подтекает, но блин не знаю как правильно проверить варик, чтоб не попасть цены на них конечно капец, у нас за б/у вариатор просят 1200- 1500 у.е. и то один на всю столицу (Минск) проехал вроде не буксует , но когда отпускаешь газ вроде подвывает, но может это у меня уже в голове воет))!!!

The transmission wont live long driving like that, not that he's doing anything wrong with the car. Its just that murano have faulty cvt's :(

This one doesn´t have a CVT, it has a regular 4 speed automatic, in Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico Muranos got regular automatic transmissions.

There goes your gearbox. Never offroad with Murano, the CVT just can not handle it. It hates wheelspin

This is in Chile so that means that this Murano has a 4 speed automatic.
