Man such a clean and thorough video! The shooting is great and in HD, I mean what else could I wish for?! I 'love' my Pathfinder and always try to do my repairs with care, this is spot on. THANK YOU!!

This will be the 3rd time ive done this. I tow a big double axle caravan roughly the same millage each year, I manage to get 50k miles out of each. Iam 3 miles short of 150K so i knew it was coming. This a brilliant step by step guide and done with a sense of humour. Thank you for taking the time to put this together, very much appreciated.

Great vid! I may well be doing this myself at home in the future. It's not often you see someone going from a solid mass f/w back to a dual mass f/w. Here in Australia the dual mass is considered problematic and most guys swap them for single mass.

I had already bought the clutch and flywheel before I started, if I had known would have left the solid one in. Cheers for watching 👍🏻

Great video mate, really enjoyed it. I have a quick question. I have a 2014 D40. It's hard to shift down gears when cold but ok when warm. Also I get a little crunch when changing from 2nd to 3rd. Is this signs the clutch is on the way out ? Thanks.

Hi Scott , great watch that, thanks for detail, please can you tell me is this the same details for a 2006 R51 Pathfinder manual with YDTTi diesel? also i see a breather pipe coming up behind the Airbox, i think this is for the front Diff? where are the breather ends for the Man gearbox and Transfer likely to be found? Thanks
@Scotty6610 ай бұрын
Thank you, yes exactly the same, I honestly cannot remember seeing the breathers on the gearbox and transfer and I’ve done a few, I think there only on the diffs, box and transfer probably just a small breather on the tops

Great video. Well explained... quick other question. Mine is going into 4 by 4 but not 4 lo... the clock spring was broken and I'm about to replace that. Not sure if the steering direction feeds into the 4 lo selection? Thanks

Hi, more likely to be one of the switches in the bottom of the gearbox, they govern the hi/lo switching, they get water in them, search eBay for d40 gearbox switches, change all 3 ( I think there’s 2 or 3) later boxes are on the top, change gear oil at the same time

@@Scotty66 Hay Anthony. Thanks again for the video. It helped a lot. I just needed to change my clutch thrust bearing (interestingly the old one was a non nissan part). The whole job was a mission because I had the car on trstles and my cross member was also wedged in place. I learnt a little trick which may be useful. Because I only needed to push the gearbox backwards (keeping it in the tunnel / reduced chance of it falling) so I fastened two ratchet straps across the chassis under the box (like a catch net) in case it fell (that things looks like it weighs more than 100kg)... anyway. Thanks again Also if you hadn't mentioned that sensor I would have broken mine :)

Hi Scott, thanks for the helpful knowledge you've presented in the video, unfortunately i failed to retain all of it and snapped my timing sensor off😥😂. Spoke with Nissian and they said it looks like the Crankshaft sensor. Is this the same sensor? Any chance you could advise on where to by a new sensor from? Kindest regards
Thank you very much Scotty, my Navara is same as your shape, but 2014. I still it should be the same fitting even as these bolts are only listed up to the 2012 model? It is still a 2.5 diesel.

Some of the Australian models are fucked. You need to literally drag the gearbox out and then you need to push up the body before you try to put it back in. Also you should grind a point and extra schampher on the splines to make it not a bitch to get it started.
