Ewan Gardiner - both mate Gives the car a wider stance (the bull dog look) and the wider rim can assist for bagging the tyres out more etc. Also if you have the tyres slightly out more than the guard it can help protect panels

Just have to remember once it sticks out past the guard you need flares and anymore then 50mm total (25 each side) then the original position becomes technically illegal. My old wheels were out about 70-88mm more the original haha, and it also places more stress on wheel bearings. But do get the benefits of wider stance/stability and can protect your 4wd in ruts etc as the wheels will help keep the panels further away from danger

Simon Francis Deluxe Commercial Bullbar and 9500lb winch plus a Lightbar. Will be having the same Oricom UHF as Tyler fitted plus diff breather kit and snorkel. Already has Koni shocks and HD Lovells springs. Underbody protection is also on the cards down the track. 🍺

Great wheelin' mate!!! I just took mine out for a test drive yesterday at Janowen Hills 4wd park. Got some good lifts as well. Lifting the Navara made a huge difference in Its capabilities I've found. If you've got hill descent, it's amazing when you've got some weight on board when coming down loose Rocky hills. Your rig is coming along nicely btw 👌

Thanks mate! Mine doesn't have hill descent I don't think, i think thats maybe only the ST-X? I'll have to try and get to Janowen Hills 4wd park at some stage

Ahhh yep, I do have an ST-X. So maybe it's only in them. The switch for mine (2018 model) is located next to the diff lock button.

So to keep it nissan and work out of the back might be on the cards myself.. how you find the stainless snorkel overall?.. they cut a fairbit out of the inner guard, you think extra bracing maybe needed to stop cracking.?

Yeah they definitely do cut a bit out but should be still all good! I haven't heard of any issues with them in the long term but see how it goes I guess. Pretty happy with it initially!

I’m sure we’d all like to see you in the nav cruising up little red. If your young fella with you, I find it breaks it up for the kids if you climb one of the glasshouse. Then wheel for a while, then hop over to bribie island for a beach camp. Back to the tracks the next day. By then the missus is ready to kill me but the kids have a ball lol

Those tyres do look big on your vehicle at 285, I run 275/65 r18 on my Everest, found the 285 to fill the wheel arch aittle to much and scrubs on the guard liner

I have the Nitto's now for about 15k, great tyre but REALLY heavy compared to others I find...My 33's weight more than some 35's of other brands.

Yep they definitely seem like a very heavy/solid tyre compared to some of the other brands I've had, they still ride pretty well on the road though, aren't too stiff.

Hey mate, thank you! Glad you're enjoying the videos. Na they haven't really been scrubbing, depends on what offset rims you have to. On mine they sometimes just touch the chassis on full lock and will occasionally touch the guard when flexing and turning out bush

Help: I'm looking for a 4WD. Ordinarily a Hilux loyalist, but an equivalent Navara is $10k-$15k cheaper with lower k's. Why do Navaras get such hate? Are they reliable?

Your old Nav was pretty capable for what it was , how do you find it in comparison..... Flex , gearing and driveability off road ?

This one is definitely a lot more capable with the rear locker, front traction control and little bit bigger tyres. Has more flex in the front with the upper control arms, similar flex in the rear

What did the Navara GPS speed say at 100kph before the fat new rubber? The Triton is going 94kph at an indicated 100kph so bigger tyres will make that Speedo more accurate for Mitsubishi :) Have you got a name for the new Nav?

It actually seemed to be pretty accurate on the old one when I had the 32inch tyres on it. I never checked this one with the standard small tyres on it. Nope haven't got a name, have to think of one haha

funny my navara has 33`s and it reads fast by about 4mph.
