My parents bought the traveller im 1985 when I was born in "babyblue" with the 1.7 Diesel Engine (54HP) and same interieur as in the video. There was a special discount, because Diesel was environmental-friendly in Germany back in the days. They sold it 1997 to by an Omega B Sedan 2.2. A Starship compared to the Nissan, but much more rusty 😄

lovely original example. my cherry 1.5 GL sounds exactly the same. love that low end bass from the engine and exhaust.

Der 75PS Sunny SLX Traveller ging gut ab, weil er leicht gebaut war. Über 150km/h aber etwas instabil mit der original 155SR13 -Bereifung, aber mit Breitreifen 175/70 SR 13 (wie beim Golf 1 GTI) doch recht fahrsicher dank Frontantrieb. Leider wurde er damals kaputt repariert durch die Werkstatt: Zahnriemen fehlerhaft montiert, vergebliche Radlager-Montagen! Ein zweites, gleiches Modell lief dann auch ca. 250 ooo km. Schwierigkeiten machte das Kühlsystem und Dampfblasenbildung im elektrisch gesteuerten Vergaser.

This car holds one of the most unreliable and worst engines in all existence. My dad had one of these back in the day untill he dumped the whole car in our driveway to this day sitting because he unfortunately is emotionally attached to this big pile of shit.

Hi. Sorry for your terrible experience. My father experienced the same fate on a similar one (1.3L petrol) in 2012. Like your father, he still clinched to it until 2020, when we decide to do a complete engine swap. We chucked out the original and replaced it with the GA15DE from B14. It fitted perfectly with the original gearbox. Runs like a new car. Old body outside, but an EFI (Electric Fuel Injector) powered heart underneath. I'd advice you to try it.
