Great reaction and welcome to Nita Strauss (actually related to composer Johann Strauss). Nita quickly became one of my favorite guitarists about a year and a half ago, shortly before the first video from her new album came out, which you also need to check out (Dead Inside ft David Draiman from Disturbed). Shortly after I started listening to her she announced a US tour in late 2021 so I had to go...and yes, with a meet and greet where she autographed my copy of her first album Controlled Chaos. She was sooo frickin awesome, one of the nicest people I've ever met. It was a Q&A type meetup. I was wearing a Jinjer tshirt and she mentioned she likes Jinjer and said the loves Tatiana's voice. Was hoping she'd do a collab with her but Alissa is great too. The drummer is her long-time boyfriend JoshV. The dude is huge in person. Nita also does the bass and backing guitars (she does all the strings on her album but of course tours with a band) and her best friend Katt Scarlett (embracetherush) does the keyboards (not in the video). Wish I got to meet her. Instant crush when I saw her on stage. 🙂

I myself have followed Nita since 2018 .You are 100% spot on ! Small venue shows with her band are the best way I found to truly meet this awesome guitarist . And yes Katt Scarlett is incredible mashing those keys !

I read somewhere that Nita Strauss is the only (or one the few females) that have a signature guitar (Ibanez Jiva 10), and its well deserved, great song, great instrumental. And of course Alissa's Voice.

Great shout out to the drummer (Josh Villalta) - It is really tricky for a drummer in a video to do anything but be static and seated but Josh just goes for it with the facial expressions and style. Nita is amazing - keep in mind that she is also playing the bass for the track as well. That solo is killer and although the instruments are not connected/plugged in for a video so the playing isn't "real" that bit she does on the neck of the guitar *IS* how she can and does play sometimes and I loved the badass look to camera. Own that talent and that work that went into it! Total fan of Alyssa White-Gluz - having both "wolf" voices, the clean and the growls, doubling makes so much sense for the narrative of the track. We know she can switch on a word if she wants, plenty of live footage out there, but I really liked that first line as it developed into the growl. We know she has an amazing vocal toolkit but it was still surprising to hear how high she climbed for that final chorus part (I know she sang Swan Lake *super* high but that might have been a different technique as she still had some grit or rasp in the higher register parts of this song).

Check out her solos on KZfaq, especially her playing with Alice Cooper, mind blowing guitar work, she is a master guitarist and does clinics sometimes.

You know Alissa sang for Nightwish in Denver? Along with Elize-Ryd, who is with Amaranthe now. See the doco "The Denver Debacle" - it should be called the Denver Miracle. Alissa also sings and growls with Kamelot on their song "Liar, Liar". You can see Alissa and Elize with Kamelot here - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z72misWGzKnHeqs.html There are so many links between bands. Epica took their name from a Kamelot album.... Metal is family! Aunty Nita, play some more guitar please?

Awesome to see you enjoyed this song! Nita is awesome! Forgive the analogy, but she’s like the guitar version of Floor Jansen: super talented and proficient, while still very down to earth and humble. It’s probably already been requested, but if not: Dead Inside by Nita is another great video of hers, and features David Draiman from Disturbed on vocals.

Alissa was together with Eliza (Amaranthe) vocalist in Kamelot 2012 as complementaryband to Nightwish and they took the first "hit" as vocalists in NW in "the Denver debacle", until Floor could join 48h later, a few years later Floor marries Hannes (Sabaton) Alissa takes over from Angela in Arch enemy and Angela becomes maneger for AE, Eliza joins Amaranth who ft Angela on -do or die track- puhh! Floor does Nemo duett live with Tarja!!!.......Rewamp, Northward, solo shows and ft with Aryen, Epica etc...... Please try to react this🤣😆😅

i have just noticed, your comp seat is the same as mine, well, it was, till my fat ass broke it :S haha funny thing is, i am not that fat, bu i am pretty heavy,. the chair bar thing kinda gave way, bent and then snapped, that was funny as hell, i was laying on my back, giggling my ass of, none stop for like over 15 mins, i only had the dang thing for like 2 or 3 weeks, they never told me it had a weight limit, anyways, theres my little story about my comp seat hahahaha
