I'm pretty sure they work with other 21700 batteries, they just have to have discharge current over 15A, their website somehow also says mh12 at least is compaitable with 2 cr123's and 18650. (EDIT: it's not compaitable out of the box with 18650/2 cr123's, but the 21700 battery is NOT proprietary.)

These 21700 aren't actually 21700 more like 21800 and you can put other 21700 in them like a Molicel p42a if you put somekind of an adapter inside the light, so definitelly not a proprietary system and that's a good thing to know that you will be able to use the light in the future in case their batteries are dicontinued or the factory closes down. With the molicel into my mh12pro the green tint also disappears and becomes cooler white and that in my book means that the led is driven harder probably also pushing more lumens out of it but still i haven't test it properly with a lux meter, i did though a proper photo test with both cells and all camera settings locked to manual and there indeed seems a slight difference in throw in favor of the Molicel p42a cell. Final thoughts is that it is indeed odd that though the mh25pro and mh12pro are essentially the same light with different size heads and the mh12pro has so much more of runtime, it doesn't make any sense. I did run a runtime test on my mh12pro yesterday by clicking it on turbo and letting it sit till the battery dies and indeed it managed to pull out 4 hours and 43 minutes before stepping down to moonlight levels which i never let it turn off all the way so i still don't know how much more will that moonlight last after that but still, those runtimes are quite impressive. Last thing to note was that turbo on the mh12pro doesn't last 60 seconds, it is timed to step down to the high mode exactly after 22 seconds except if it's too hot and that timer becomes 12 seconds after some bursts and lastly it becomes 6 seconds when the light is scorching. High mode after the turbo stepdown lasts around 3 minutes at 1300 lumens and gradually steps down in a period of 7 minutes to around 550 lumens which the mh12pro will sustain all the way out to 4 hours and 30 minutes before stepping down to medium for a short amount of time and then low for another short period of time and then to moonlight levels. These measurements are contrary to other measurements that i've seen online from a reviewer that stated that the high mode will drop down to medium mode after 20 minutes which isn't true at all. High mode can be sustained for 4 hours and 40 minutes roughly with a gradual stepdown to 500-600 lumens in the first 10 minutes but it won't step down to the 300lumens medium mode at all except before shutting down due to the battery being empty

Yo have double the runtime on high because high will step down to about half, which also means half the throw distance. MH25 actually holds that 1200 which means it’ll run that battery down. I wish they were a bit more honest. Great comparison as usual man!

I have both MH12Pro & MH25 Pro in front of me now, Just tested both with a Samsung 40T 21700 & was too short. Tested both with a Acebeam 5100mAh 21700 battery of the same length as the Nitecore 21700 they came with & it works fine in both. I even swapped the tail caps of MH12 Pro & MH25 Pro & that works fine too.. exactly the same. Great Torches both of them !!

Is 1200 lum mode stabilized on 12pro? Or reducing brightness after some time?

Hello, I have the MH12Pro. The other night when using it, it just went out. After using only for 2min. Full battery. It would not come on. After an hour it did come on but would not cycle low,med,high. However the light level indicator showed different light levels. Sat over night with battery out all returned to normal. Any advice? Thank for you review.

On 1200 lum mode does 12pro reduce the brightness (stabilized?)?

Hi, I have the p20ix, the i battery has both poles on both ends, and I can use turbo 4000 lumens as any other mode even with 10% battery. These can do this? Or they will become weaker as battery falls, and cannot get 3300 lumens anymore? Iam asking because I returned an olight warrior 3s for this. 2300 lumens only with 4 dots battery, 1 dot fades, you end up with an ordinary 800 flashlight, that even an AA can do.

@@JonBonynge18650, AA, ok old tech, but 21700 new tech, new light, top of line, bulky, heavy, 800 lumens? Advertising 2300, 3x higher but for 1,5 min? For me its a joke from olight... pokelit AA can do 1000 lumens, a 21700 cannot be so gimmick

I understand that thermals should drop the lumens, but once it cools down, it should be able to repeat max lumens in any battery stage, not the mode dissapearing forever. Warrior is like a car reaching 80% fuel, it loses the 5th gear, then it loses the 4th,and with 10% fuel it has only the 1st gear??? Nonsense

I have the MH25 Pro and it's a semi-dealbreaker that there is no instant strobe. It can be done but it takes like 2 seconds
@davep6507

You can instant strobe. Put on tactical mode, hold button until strobes, turn off. It will now strobe with half press, or full press on tail switch. To maintain strobe as default memory; to turn it on go to ultra low mode, and then click to change modes, it will continue to remember the strobe. If you use tail switch to turn on you will have to reset it to strobe each time.
