Dude that just happened to me like 4 weeks ago while doing a hill climb up Yarnell in Arizona. I said the same thing oh my gosh this was on my tire at some point on the way up the mountain and I didn't crash. I'm very lucky like you. You guys would have had so much fun with us yesterday ripping through the mountains of Arizona.

Over the past year parts of HWY 16, 21, and 23 were resurfaced with Tar&Pea Gravel. I have nearly lost the front end of my ZX14R several times this summer.

Gear position indicator is amazing, wish they made it for ladders. I only say that because if you climb a 6’ ladder a bunch and then climb say a 10’ or 12’ ladder it’s easy to misjudge where you are and step off at the 4’ mark.

Take a pair of needle nose pliers and pinch the tube, where the leak is- this is why I use non glycole coolant suck as engine ice. It does not need to be under pressure to prevent boiling, I hit a deer and mashed the radiator... Lost pressure and never got hot or boiled out

The white of an egg could seal temporarily a hole in a radiator... but after that you can’t open to much as the pressure in the cooling system would blow the piece of egg out of the hole... it’s a temporary fix and you have the white when the engine is still warm. Also when you have small gravel on the road, you should really slow down.... there could be a patch of gravel in a bad place and that could end a ride quite abruptly...

First thing I did on my s1000rr when i picked it up from the dealer was install radguards. Pulse how do you not know how a radiator is made or works? Lucky you didn't send a rock through the oil cooler.

Might sound daft but the white of a egg can be used to seal radiator hole also, just break a egg take out the yolk and put the white into the radiator, the heat will cook the egg white and it will circulate until it finds the hole and it blocks it. Not a permanent fix only for a quick fix until you get home

I have a buddy I use to ride with and he would always ride up beside me or however and hit their kill switch.

The liquid flows through the metal fins that you see and acts like a heatsink. No Wristy, there isnt a wall thick enough to protect from a rock and still provide adequate cooling but that is why you gotta put on a radiator guard when you get a chance.

I see they are made by vortex and look like the position is better than stock and I have a r6 and would like to change them and you guys need to learn a bit about parts and bikes that was kinda sad that you do not know how a radiator works and that are tubes that run side to side between the ribs and the epoxy fix only works if the surface is super clean

Ive heard if the hole is small enough you can use an egg white to seal it until you get home. Then flush the system, replace the radiator, and refill.

Rock in radiator. Happened to me 2 years ago. Coming up on a dump truck and it was dropping rocks. So jacked ! Dude, that is a clean good condition bike..... GET A NEW radiator. Fudge sealant !

Hey no joking I lost a practicality brand new 2019 Goldwing" it was all because I hit a small puddle of antifreeze"while Exiting of a freeway, I couldn't see it but by God I felt it, The Exit ramp curved all the way around the freeway" I might have been doing about 55mph or less, My father came in one of our company Rollbacks too pick us up, us being his Goldwing and me but surprisingly his wasn't concerned about his Motorcycle at all he was more concerned about me" he really wanted to take me to the hospital, I had a bit of road rash hanging skin here and there, the worse thing was my ankle that was twisted around facing backwards, he ended up talking me into going to the hospital and I had to end up having surgery on my ankle, and some skin drafting done, I was out of the hospital after about a week" my father's insurance sorta paid for his bike, they cut him a check for 22 thousands even though he paid over 39 thousand for it, We had just picked it up three days before I had the accident, My Dad's lawyer told him to keep that check and don't cash it. I don't know what that lawyer did but not only did they give my dad full price for his Motorcycle"" but he got me paid too he brought me a check for 26 thousands Dollars" plus got my medical bills paid. I hope that I never have to go through something like that again" but the way I see it if I keep on RIDING eventually im going to have some kind of incident happen again, but I will ride until I'm not able to ride again.

JB Weld will not last. You need a heat process repair. Solder will work, brazing is better. The Fin should be ram rodded to straighten the fin first, for a more lasting fix.

Put an egg and some pepper in the coolant and run the bike and warm it up and it will seal the hole untill you can have it soldered or braised..
