I added a front & rear camera system and locking bag hook to my NQI GTS when I first bought it and had to go through the similar discovery of how all of the puzzle pieces come apart and back together. I felt it was very well designed.

Your video was EXTREMELY helpful. Replaced the front throttle side panel on my NIU NQI GTS. Crazy I had to remove the seat to do this.

Beautiful olive green. I'm stunned by how thin and cheap sounding the panels are on such a premium brand scooter. I'd prefer something thicker, possibly two layers (solid plastic outside with a rubber liner on in the inside).

Thanks for this. I had to remove quite a lot of the body to remove the trailing arm, which was suffering badly from flaking paint and corrosion. Looking much tidier now. I may need to look into getting nicer coloured body panels too, yours is looking smart!

Hi Andrew, I’m glad this was useful. I’m selling my body panels (my NIU died completely) and they’re almost as good as new. Check out eBay and you should find them for sale. Happy to ship to NI.

thanks for this vid. Needed some impression how difficult it is to get to the taillight because the right blinker stopped working. Hope that there is only a loose cable or broken solder joint.

Hi. I liked your revew very much. I have an issue to solve with my new NIU. How do we connect the smartphone and the scooter? Thanks.

Sorry, can’t help with that. Check out the NIU website and/or consult the user manuals.

Can you share more detail on how you found replacement panels on eBay? Or any other leads on where to buy replacement panels? Thanks for the video.

I’ve seen the same body panels for sale on eBay and Gumtree in the UK. There’s also a retailer in the Netherlands that sells them. I bought mine on eBay in Germany.

Where did you find them on eBay? I need a replacement front panel.

Are you in the UK? I have my original white panels and the new green panels for sale. The old white panel is in very good condition.

@@randomtasks thanks. Most of the supplies I’ve found have been in Europe. Would be cool to find someone on EBay that would ship.

Mind inform your insurance company if you change body colour or panels 😉

I can see some corrosion of this scooter? Where do you live and do you drive it in winter? And how often is there salt on roads? How long have you had it and how many KMs does it have?
@randomtasks2 жыл бұрын
The previous owner rode 9k km over 3 years in the Frankfurt, Germany, area. Winters aren’t too bad, so the roads don’t need to be salted too frequently. The corrosion wasn’t so bad.
@joakimdam97232 жыл бұрын
@@randomtasks Ah thanks a lot, how often do you think the roads are salted in frankfurt? And did he ride it during the winter times or only in the summer?
@randomtasks2 жыл бұрын
@@joakimdam9723 How often? Depends on the winter, but not very often. The previous owner rode it year round.
@joakimdam97232 жыл бұрын
@@randomtasks I'm afraid that the scooter will not last many winters Denmark. We use salt on roads from December to end of February
@adpsimpson2 жыл бұрын
Hi Joakim, it's not my video but I've owned and ridden my Niu in Northern Ireland for 2 years (only 4000 miles - COVID!). We use a lot of salt here too, and it's not held up particularly well. The factory paint is thin and flakes off, especially on the aluminium parts such as the trailing arm and rear seat footrests, and the chrome (eg front shocks) all has minor surface rust on it. It's all treatable, but it's certainly not designed for regular use on wet salty roads.
