These jewels are owned by the Indian government, they were bought out in the late 90's or early 2000's I believe. Some jewels that come at auction were stolen by the Nizams heirs to get more wealthy quickly, hence we see a good amount of their jewels being sold at auctions but the Indian government holds the most important of the nizams jewels. These are all Golconda diamonds and gems of the best quality. I apologize for the long response but I also was in awe of the jewels when I first saw them.
