While recruitment remains a challenge among all law enforcement agencies nationwide, New Jersey State Police recruiters are working to add more diversity to their police ranks. As of now 72% of all sworn in members of state troopers are white men. NBC10's Ted Greenberg has how they are expanding their reach to target other demographics.

If everyone is in the academy doing the same thing and having to accomplish the same tasks with each other how are the standards lowered? If you think it’s how you initially get in the requirements are the same for everybody and this is just an ignorant take. Be better

@@narutokook if standards were the same, those in the academy would be different to begin with. White men test higher than all other groups on average. Its a fact. Yet they are exactly who the powers that be dont want to be in the academy. If you dont pluck from the top of the list, you are lowering standards.

@Thememedude600 dropped out for any reason such as injury, sicknesses, not willing to keep going. Or they could get kicked out for just doing a bad job like if they fail a driving, shooting, or physical exam. It has nothing to do with race or gender

They do hire based on qualifications, all they said was that they were expanding their search to try to reach different communities, but everyone that goes through the academy is still very qualified and they earned their position there

NJ is 200 Million dollars in debt and the citizens are starting to wise up! Why would anyone want to be trained in a paramilitary that targets its own citizens to push around & bully over minor "Offenses". Its not the crime that is making me move out of Jersey..its the Government and disgusting "Law Enforcement" tactics they are using on their own people! I had a gander at their youtube channel and for some reason...they have comments turned off on all of the videos on that channel.
