Hey mate, new to the game getting into poker. Long time listener, first time commenter. Love your stuff. How much is personal coaching?

Decent play and commentary overall. Since you asked I'll make a comment. But you've possibly already come to this conclusion in hindsight. 24:40 I expect him to have AQ TT 99 a moderate amount of the time, even if he 3bets them more often than a solver approved range. And neither of you have Q9o, unless BB is defending a bit wider, or you're opening wider. I'll assume you're rangebetting flop. On turn, you can play OVB, but the main range asymmetry will be your Kx flop bluffs that turned top pair matching up against his flop top_pair and 2nd_pair which now got demoted to 2nd_pair and 3rd_pair. So there's far more incentive to be playing a small to medium size like 33% 50% 75%. As far as exploitatively, I think it's far easier for OOP to overfold to B100-B125 rather than B200. I would actually expect players to underfold to B200 B250 B300 because there are so many pair+OESD and pair+FD intuitive XC candidates. You noted those hands as "clear calls", but if those are all clear calls against B200, he's very likely underfolding turn rather than overfolding. Which would then lead to playing B200 on the turn with a range imbalanced towards strong hands in an anonymous pool, or barreling river at high frequency. However, if the turn was Ac instead for example, It would be much easier for OOP to naturally overfold to those larger sizings, but simultaneously less incentive from an optimal perspective to bet that sizing in the first place.

Hey mate, thanks for the detailed comment. Largely agree with your thoughts, particularly noting that B200 might actually be underfolded on turn. Definitely didn't nail this hand so thanks for calling out some of your thoughts :)

Excellent vid. Do you have any poker related goals? I saw you tag a player in orange for a fish, light blue for a reg, what does purple mean?
@JakoPoker
@JakoPoker Ай бұрын
@@patrickbrowning6927 My goal is to be able to play professionally as a sole source of income. The current environment in Australia makes this challenging so for the moment I’m working full time and grinding as much volume as I can on the side. My tags are all based around recreational players as I can’t track regs over time. So I just use tags to make sure I can easily see the soft spots at a table when I switch focus between tables. Orange is the whale tag where I expect to make the most. Purple is a fish. Light blue is that I saw something nonstandard and so I’m leaning that they’re a fish but not sure. Obviously the tags are based on small sample sizes so you can kind of think of it as a sliding scale from light blue to orange of how weak I think a player is. Anyone not tagged is an assumed reg (or I just haven’t bothered to tag them yet)

against a villain who almost never folds to 3 bets, when they open, what should we do with hands like A5s out of position? Or what about A5s in position. Thanks!
@JakoPoker
@JakoPoker 29 күн бұрын
@@jkdfsht if they never fold to 3b I would size up your 3b size and 3b stronger hands (you don’t need to 3b bluffs against this player). Depending on exact positions (and how high the rake is) calling with A5s is going to be fine. If villain is opening too wide and also not folding to a 3b, then A5s should be good enough to 3b for value

@JakoPoker Ай бұрын
@@buxrer-i8f because I still work full time I have to work around when I have time available. Generally speaking Im able to hold a strong level of concentration over long periods, so I’ll typically play 2-3 hours at a time (or indefinitely while the games are soft and I’m still playing my A game). That said, everyone is different and most people will benefit from shorter sessions (I.e 1 hour playing) with small breaks in between (10 minutes rest) - that’s certainly what I’d recommend

The button right next to the hand replayer (the button that looks like two cards) will show you what both players had if the hand went to showdown. I think I must have already had it open on my other monitor hence why you didn't see me click on it
