NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming has created an incredible foundation for me in my pursuit of mastering my life, which is why I teach it in my self improvement trainings and apply it when I do life coaching or help people with their businesses. NLP is a powerful model that will help you accelerate your results.
Ever wonder where Tony Robbins got his understanding of human behavior and influence? NLP was a major part of his education as a self-improvement guru.

I have watched about 10 videos and finally understand the significance of not using the concept of “self-.” By changing the…(not sure of right word) idea of love to include self by default, the unconscious automatically begins to apply love to the self. It’s not something that has to be done, but a framework that can be updated so the function of “loving onesself” becomes natural.

What I have learned based on some of your channels demonestration . 1.we can start by grouping a Sure and positive quality about ourselves that we like and get its Structure and submodalities. 2.we can remember the experiences counter examples of this sure qualitirs when we didn't show that sure and positive quality despite being that quality. 3.choose a quality that we want to have and create in ourselves or choose a quality that we want to change its opposite and remind overselves as many experiences as we can that we had that good qualities in those moments 4.Regroup or rename the counter examples of this good quality that we want to create in ourselves (infact this quality could be opposite of the quality we don't like) and find its possitive purpose and imaginge that we have the resources to fullfill this good intention so that we can convince ourselves that this negative quality was not negative on its own and it was shown because of inner positive intention because we were not having the resources and now that we have it we don't need to show this quality anymore 5.We try to transform this quality like we do in swish pattern 6. and try to sellect and collect as many examples as possible from our experiences and even from other people's or future experiences that show we have that good quality, and try to send it and give it the structure of sure and positive quality we possess already ...

This is a side question but I’m training in bjj as well and want to get better. Do you train when you are still sore in order to mentally drive yourself? I know this seems unrelated but for me self love/hard work gets very confusing
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 3 ай бұрын
I'm sore almost all of the time (at this age with my level of activity). If I didn't train when I'm sore, I wouldn't train very much. To answer your question, I don't use soreness to mentally drive me. If I need drive, it's just an indication that I'm not connecting with my values. I'll revisit what I want out of BJJ training. Am I getting it? So far every time I've asked that question, it's a yes. As long as it's a yes, I'll keep training. Don't use pain to drive you. Acknowledge pain. Accept pain. Use your values to drive you.

It’s still unclear to me how to change a self concept/belief permanently/. Just because one can have a conscious epiphany and a new understanding or belief about themselves in one moment, the way Paul did, doesn’t seem to guarantee its permanence…perhaps especially if they have a history of uncertainty, inconsistency or instability, like being raised in a cult for example. I have new awareness all the time but it doesn’t mean the old default isn’t going to kick in again and take over. Not trying to be a smartass, I’m really trying to understand what’s so revolutionary about this, I would love to find something that works!

I understand where you're coming from. We conduct an entire 18 month training for people who not only want to learn the model, it's for people who want to program it in so they're effective at using it. I can't squeeze 18 months into a 1 hour video. This tutorial is about giving you a piece of what it's about as well as some healthy mindsets.

How can you break the patterns that are stucked in from the beginning of your life ?
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 19 күн бұрын
The creation of patterns starts at the beginning of life, but they are processes rather than things. This means they can be changed. Rather than break them, we focus on restructuring them to draw your conscious and unconscious attention to internal representations that serve you. I use Steve Andreas' Self-Concept Model to do this. You can learn the model and apply it to yourself or you can do one-on-one coaching with me or one of my coaches.
@luciebrugerolle1180

Self concemt seems to be the key… BUT… I didn’t find any coach to really help me to change these patterns… is it a problem that comes from the client or I didn’t founw the right coach yet ?
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 19 күн бұрын
I can't answer that because I wasn't your coach. Always take full responsibility for the changes you want. You'll encounter some coaches who are a good fit and some who are not.

Thanks for your answer. And yes, for sure, the changes come from the client. I realise that my question was not a good one 😅 and I already had the answer.

If you remove the "self" from self love, should you not also apply equally to "self" concept? Oh no, im just a concept 😅
@DamonCart
@DamonCart Ай бұрын
We're going to use words to accurately describe what we mean. In that case it makes sense to put self in front of some words. However, when you're pursuing a value, words and all of their implications matter. Self-concept is not a value to be pursued. Love is.

I saw a video the other day of someone whose belief system apparently changed before our eyes. HOW do you KNOW it did? Hiw can you tell someone isn't just having a conscious level 'epiphany' and not a full blown subconscious INSTANTANEOUS belief change? (Which I don't believe is possible - bot for me anyway.)
@PeterAcrat
@PeterAcrat 3 ай бұрын
Ok, well, it goes like this: 1st. Don't even bother changing beliefs that have little to no emotional impact or FEELING on you. Typically they won't deliver much generative change anyway, but they can still be fun to witness the coincidences. 2. A Core belief will have a connected feeling sufficient that it is problem-enough for you to take action to clear it/dissolve it /change it. This is a key factor! Run your change processes on these. 3. When _YOU_ can convince your coach that _you_ can no longer even _FIND_ the emotion/feeling that was once the issue for you, _THEN_ you _know_ you have changed! - and then, what others think or believe won't even factor to you coz you have nothing to bother proving to them in your new-felt contentment.
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 3 ай бұрын
The best way to test if someone's belief has changed is by observing behavioral change. It is possible though that you can change beliefs and just feel better about yourself and the world, etc. without seeing direct behavioral change.

Not necessarily. Experiment with changes in different languages to know for sure. Most likely whatever your native language is will probably work best.

Do you know that you are the opposite of the vanguard of NLP? I got into NLP because Tony Robbins made me think, "If he can make me want to buy this book, maybe he'll make me improve my life." But I think it's possible that you underhype this. Not that I can blame you, as if you gave half of what it could do you'd be tuned out.
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 3 ай бұрын
If you're saying that Tony is a better salesman than me, I agree. However, Tony's NLP, as far as I can tell, hasn't been updated since the 1980s. He demonstrates mastery over the classic style. His NLP is not new nor is it even close to being on the forefront (vanguard) of NLP. Running around on a stage beating my chest and screaming is not my style and even if it was it wouldn't attract the right students to what I teach.
@jamesross4319

@@DamonCart I think, a little more subtle in my assessment. It just seems that you understate, I think, almost as much as that kind of NLP guy hypes. I was thinking, "This can do ten times as much as Damon's suggesting," and I'm thinking, "That cannot be an accident."
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 3 ай бұрын
@@jamesross4319 no I don't intentionally understate the power of what I'm teaching. I know it can absolutely transform people and transform lives. I've spent the last 8 years communicating that message. I've tried a variety of ways within and outside of my comfort zone to get it across to people. If you want to make some suggestions, I'm listening.
