I love Kevin's face when he mentions making the new album, there's something in that smile that knows how much the fans really wanted it

Colm's biggest regret in life must be not having made it to the recording sessions of Loveless. Dude. That's one massive way to miss out. But at least he was able to play in "Only Shallow".
@regicks6 жыл бұрын
Caverman i doubt its a regret, there was nothing he could do about it. he got really sick to the point where he couldnt use his legs properly.

The decibel levels took years off my hearing. I'm still suffering after the gig last summer. Man, I should have used the earplugs.

Saw them twice on their current tour, including Benicassim. They have been totally magic both times..

I hope they do come back some day with at least one more album. Though unlike others, I'm not in any rush. They're obviously just taking their time. If they did come back, I can imagine just how huge it'll be. It'd remind everyone just how stunning their music is.

The song is Map Ref. 41N 93W. It's a Wire cover, but I downloaded it, and made it TRACK 1 of the MBV album. That's how it should have been. Map Ref deserves to be the first track of this album. Now I can appreciate it. :)

@accidentsinspace Well, I regret to inform you... the aging process and a change in hairstyle can alter one's appearance. But on a more serious note, Colm does seem more animated than his photos from the 90s would suggest.

@dogeymon83 yeah map ref has always been one of their dopest tracks. The most "songlike" of their songs by far.
@wavepopART20814 жыл бұрын
Yea I was there @ APW. It was great cuz MBV didn't stop the "lift-off" noise-rock part of there ending til all the Tool fans put down there fingers haha! it was brillant!
@Gordrann15 жыл бұрын
I dunno - they both look pretty good for, what, their mid-40s? Also, a bit sheepish about how long it takes them to do anything, and a nice look Colm shoots Kevin about how "underplayed" their songs are.
@gamelanplan16 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Colm is surprisingly expressive. The dynamics between Kevin and Colm are interesting in this interview. Colm seems like the little brother who can't quite agree with everything Kevin says, but he's diplomatic about it.
@dogeymon8315 жыл бұрын
With different hairstyles, they could almost be Siskel & Ebert.
@HolidayInGuantanamo15 жыл бұрын
You gotta smile when Kevin says at 3:47 they'll definitely make another album. Oh, really? I thought that's what he's been working on for the past 18 years! OK, maybe 10 of those 18...

These MBV interviews are so pointless. All they ever talk about is touring. Kevin is like a wall, he never gives any insight into his music. That being said, they are gods.
@94EAS12 жыл бұрын
Why all the Tool hate? Tool and MBV are both great bands. To say either of them aren't good is blasphemy, though you can have your opinions. But Tool kinda started out when grunge was still underground, and they are not even grunge, so I wouldn't call 'em "shitty post-grunge music". And MBV were a big inspiration for Tool in their early days..
@DebbieSalemink15 жыл бұрын

I remember when the NME put them on the cover just before their last album was about to come out and after they'd signed to a major and the whole world was feting their brilliance and they acted like they had juust discovered something. People say the NME has turned into a load of shit but it was always a load of shit. People just forget.

Yeah, well I don't mean to be rude. I shouldn't have said it sucks because that's not exactly how I feel about it. It just didn't live up to expectations, especially waiting so long. Your first track of your album should always be amazing. Instead, it started off with a mopey sounding drone song. :( Another sad realization I discovered recently is the best song I've heard by My Bloody Valentine isn't even theirs. It's a cover. It's like some weird titled song. Map 43* ^ 48* somethin
