NNormal Tomir 2.0 Review

We are back with another shoe review and this time it is an update to a shoe from last years breakout brand founded by Kilian Jornet, NNormal, and the update is to the Tomir model. So today we are reviewing the Tomir 2.0.
We reviewed the Tomir 1.0 last year and it has been a successful shoe for me, despite offering a firmer ride to what I am used to. So lets see if the 2.0 improves on what was already a very good shoe.

Thanks for your review! Ran the last 65 miles of a 200-mile race, in November 2022, in the Tomir 1.0 but with an Inov-8 Boomerang insole to take off the edge. Performed very well. So far the 2.0’s new midsole is impressing me here in the Colorado Rockies. Godspeed!

Thanks for your review. Ran my first run in them yesterday across the Yorkshire Moors and they felt good. The jury is still out whether I use them for the upcoming Lakeland Trail 100k with my preference being the Speedgoat 5. 8 out of 10 Ultras I’ve done have been in SGs so I know they will be good for it however, the atomic could take the day. Up in Lakes tomorrow for a longer test. Thanks again. 🤙🏼

Thanks for the review. About to retire my Hoka Mafate Speed 4's and heard good things about this shoe. Have some 50 miler and a couple 100K races left in the season

Hey Sean, Thanks for watching. The Tomir will not be as softly cushioned as your Hoka’s, but they will very durable and good for technical trails and fells. I hope they work well for you, if you decide to purchase them. Thanks Rob

@@robsbeenrunning Thanks Rob. What distance do you think these are good up to (comfortably). I'm 6'4, 223 lbs and looking for something up to 50 mile distances. Or do you have a different recommendation? I didnt get along with the Hoka SG's but i run in the Mafate Speed 4's, Asics Trabuco Max 2 and North Face Enduris 3's

@@SeanColeman Hi Sean, They are good for 50 miles in my opinion but I’d try a pair on to be sure. For distanceI always go for the Saucony Xodus Ultra. Supreme comfort and good grip. Thanks Rob

I wear a size US 9.5 in Àsics Trabuco 11. Find the mid and heel could be slightly tighter. I find Salomon run narrower so I go up half a size to US10. The mid and heel lock down much better. I mainluse them for Fast packing and some trail running. Do you think any of the NNormal shoes would work and should I get my normal Asics sizing?,

Hi, Yes the Tomir 2.0 are a good shoe for fast packing and trail running, so they should work well. They are true to size, so I'd stick to your standard sizing. NNormal do make a hiking version of the shoe, might be worth checking those out as well. Thanks for watching. 👍
