Years ago I was talking to a Forest Services Packer. This when it was popular to have your horse stand away from you. He said that he wanted his horses standing next to him so he could hear what they had to say. He said in the back country they relied on each other. So they had to talk to each other..

FWIW...I strongly suspect that horses were placed on this earth by the creator in order to give us a chance to learn some things about ourselves. *If* we are smart enough to wonder about things! 😉

hmmm. . .I do think that horses can teach us lots about ourselves. I'm not convinced that their only purpose is to Serve.
