Neat looking locomotive. It looks like a smaller version of a 3751 or 2900 series, just with 6 drivers instead of 8. Thanks for the vid!

Its sitting there because a group of locals stopped the restoration of the engine by a national group the Coalition for Sustainable Rail. Now the locals are showing they prefer that the locomotive rot into the ground.

they wanted to modify the engine not restore it.

@@needles_sub3307 The engine was to be restored after the fuel studies were completed. Just look at it now and it terrible fate. Yes i know some prefer cut up for scrap rather than touch an "original" rivet

From my understanding, there was a group wanting to restore it but the locals Wanted it to stay Didn’t want it modified (I believe they wanted to convert fuel type) And didn’t want to remove original parts (not wanting to overhaul parts to repair a machine where most parts that need replacing are inside the machine, or covered in some other way is a fine example of what I call stupidity) Basically, locals want it to rot into the ground instead
