I've had this and PCS The Howling statue in storage for years, no where to put them, but I don't want to sell them, ever. Great review.

A repaint would really improve this... It lacks shading and dynamics. I think it's a good canvas for an experienced professional to work with.

Think the werewolfs from underworld are one of my favourites although I love dog soldiers such a laugh watching it

I love american werewolf in london and this statue reminds me why... the movie has one of the best practical effects ever to be seem on screen. Also the best werewolf transformation sequences ever. I'm guessing the stairs are taken from the movie theater scene towards the end of the movie. As for the piece, it's a very good likeness.....and I agree that the bloody portrait is the way to go.....for werewolf fans it's a must have along with the Howling statue as well.

The one statue that I own and love but many fellow Predator collectors hate is the Sideshow Wolf Predator Legendary scale bust. Aside from some production issues, the head is made from PVC (the bust is heavy polystone/resin). The paint app is not exceptional (but not bad). Also, it’s $650. It was released 2-3 years ago...and it’s still available. However, the sculpt itself is unbelievable. Awesome in fact. I used their current $100 off and free shipping. Plus I used Rewards Points and $65 discount from another statue of mine that had one little issue. So in total, it only cost me $240. I was skeptical waiting for it...but when I got it and saw it in person...I friggin loved it. I've got Sideshow's EX Psylocke and the X-Force Variant. A lot of people really dislike the EX/CE portrait (which was originally the variant portrait 🤔). I like both. So I bought both. 😊✌

I think this takes place in the theater scene. I have a vague memory of him crawling down the cinema stairs. A piece from my collection that I love but I get the general criticisms is the SSC Punk Storm Comiquette. The mohawk is overboard and the face sculpt doesn't translate to photos almost at all. But between my love for the character and seeing her in person, I dig her.

Nice statue, I really like the way they have painted the teeth with that yellow colour which gives it a realistic look and as for the stairs, you said you can't remember the werewolf walking down the stairs, that's because it was not in the film but Pop Culture Shock wanted to add the stairs as that was inside the Cinema so they added this to the base because of the famous Cinema scene when the werewolf was attacking people inside the Cinema and outside Cinema.

Awesome piece. That film is a cult classic and my favourite werewolf film. John Landis blended horror and black comedy perfectly with that movie.

I'm pretty sure the poses from inside cinema near the end of the movie. The stairs in between the seats of the cinema. I believe the scenes is Piccadilly Circus.

I think the SS Catwoman 1/4 Premium format is actually a very underrated piece. I have her and the design is incredible. It captures her character purrrfectly. The base is so original and makes the statue pop, the portrait is stunning and the paint is top notch. It has so much feline femininity going on it jumps up and smacks you in the face with it. The backpack has some great little easter eggs on it and the whip curling down and around the base just shouts Catwoman. Seriously, It completely blows all the other Catwoman statues out there out of the water, even the Prime 1 1/3rd pieces aren't on the same level. Nobody talks about her, reviews her or has much to say on it which baffles me. SS really showed the statue community how it should be done for Catwoman yet nothing. It must be just me then. I absolutely love it.

Mine would be Sideshow Magneto Maquette. The Sentinel head should be bigger. I do think it's an awesome statue that shows his power and anatomy that matches the character.🤷‍♂️ I don't like Magneto statues where he's very muscular because it doesn't make sense.

Fantastic piece, congrats Mr X! The base is based on the scenes where he transforms in the cinema, the base has the ornate features of the theatre and the worn carpet on the steps, really nice details!

It seems to me that the sculpt was done first as a stand alone piece and the steps were done later to make it work.The problem with the paint is the details in the mouth aren't defined enough, so they had to use the paint application to determine where the gums stop and the teeth start. Same with the nails and fur. I had resin kit similar to this back in the day, and it was amazing and very accurate. Can't remember who made it. I would give this a 3 out of 5, but with some work it could be a 5 of 5.

An American Werewolf in London is a CLASSIC!! I would love to see a mid-transition piece when David's face is stretching and his ribs are re-forming ... That would be AWESOME!! Cool piece, thanks for sharing.

I own the Sideshow 1:4 scale PF Batman with the spandex mixed media....it's a very love it or hate it piece. Yes they missed a little with the fitting of the fabric (underarm gate)...but I really like it's presence and the gargoyle base is really well done. I actually want to get the modern version because I dig the colors more. But in the end I do like the piece and he's not leaving my collection anytime soon.

Quite a strange looking beast, reminds me of Tiger from Fievel Goes West crossed with a fat poodle! I loved the cameo appearance by SF5ftw 15 seconds into the video, looks like you've found that clown's true vocation, sterling work. Werewolves not swearwolves 8-)

Love this movie! I've only recently started collecting, I wish I could have been around to grab one of these!! My Goal is to try to get as much Evil Dead & (Vampire and werewolf memorabilia). I find it a little harder on that end of things. In saying that I can't wait for Neca to come out with their figure for Amer. WereW. In London!!!! And from what I've seen more of the Universal Monsters ... New sub!

Awesome movie, the practical special effects still stand up to today's CGI, maybe even better in many respects. Statue is very cool. Some details could be better, maybe slightly lighter gray mixed in the fur. The base is not movie accurate. Either represents movie theater or subway escalator like others have already mentioned. GOD Bless Brother as always!

Love the movie but this base would only make sense when’s he’s in the movie theater but the scene wasn’t shown. Or it could be the steps in front of the girl’s apartment. The base should of been related to the subway station.

the scene that is being depicted is the movie theater in Piccadilly circus the wolf is coming down the stairs so I think it is popcorn on the plate. the claws needs to darker like dark browns at the base. I am considering buying this and the paint is not as good when you see it in your review. it threw me off a little so I don't know if i'm going to get it now. It is pretty expensive like 2000$ with shipping and its only the collectible.. I think I am just going to get the howling for now

Favorite werewolf movie of all time. That being said I'm disappointed in this piece. Had never seen it before the sculpt is funky looking I think it's just the pose looks awkward and the feet look tiny. I agree with you 3 out of 5 is fair cool piece but a lot of missed opportunities. Nice grab regardless.
