Fungibility is key when bartering. In A SHTF scenario, then it will work very well and values will be determined quickly. Great advice my friend.

Like many things, society has allowed us to become lazy in many lost skills. Add bartering to the list. Also like many such skills, in a bad situation, we will be forced to (re)learn the skills. However, why wait? There’s ’s nothing stopping you from sharpening your skills right now!

Many skills have been lost that many practiced for generations. Add bartering. We have gotten very complacent in society today so if / when we implode, recovery and survival will be much worse than anyone can even fathom.

I think bartering will be a huge problem. Cash is the best to have. Even gold and silver are frozen investments unless you sell them for cash. With cold hard cash you can do more things - its the most fungible, even more fungible than gold and silver. Only problem with cash is the purchasing value of money depreciates. Have both - gold/silver and cold hard cash.
