"No Clue! A Mystery Story" finds detective Jefferson Hastings at the home of wealthy but eccentric Arthur Sloane one hot summer night, when two other guests at Sloanehurst stumble across the body of young Mildred Brace lying dead on the lawn. Sloane's daughter Lucille asks Hastings to help solve the crime, but Hastings gets surprisingly little help from anybody he interviews, including Mr. Sloane himself and even the mother of the victim. With few clues to aid him and nobody beyond suspicion, including himself, seemingly rock solid alibis begin to fall apart, expanding the list of potential suspects, and Hastings must rely on subtle expressions and the scant evidence at hand to try to solve the murder. The audio must had been uploaded incorrectly. I had to change the speed to X1.5 for it to sound normal.

hi emoinv.. I've never done audio books till a few weeks ago and have to say I really like them so far.. Im also incapacitated. (need 2 knee replacements) so gonna have alto of down time.. Have you ever read anything by ROBERT. HEINLEIN. ?? JUST discovered 2 of his from 1938 and 40.. Absolutely wonderful. I lucked out twice in a row. so far ..I agree with you about the multiple readies.. That would have been cool for the second book especially. .LATER

don't care for the reader voice. just personal preference. I favor female readers without the American valley girl/vocal fry voice. One the whole I have found british and few Australian females to be the best readers at Librivox and Internet Archive. That is where almost all youtube audio books come from. A few american female readers are very good because they speak with dignity and when need be with compassion unlike most american women i know or have heard. btw I am an american male.

Oh no, Librivox... And their army of robot zombie narrators. Horrible. Unlistenable.
