Brooooo Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 keeps getting better and better. This episode was incredible and sickening at the same time. Sukuna shows up for 2 episodes and annihilates everything. Poor Yuji... is our boy gonna bounce back from this... I hate to see Sukuna go for now, but I worry so much about all my favorite characters with him out and about. Yeah this arc shows just how fragile and naive Yuji’s goal is. He’s the host of the king of curses so this was going to break him eventually

When Sukuna mentioned “You might have defeated me in the state i was back then.” He might be referring to back in season 1 when they first fought in episode 5. The hand signs that Megumi made to summon Mahoraga is the same as the one he made back then. Actually, there are a couple times back in season 1, where he teased of summoning Mahoraga too! For example when he fought Todo!

Been watching a lot of reactions, whenever the yuji scene comes up, i cant help but tearing up 😢 the voice actors really delivers. This is like if naruto went berserk and let nine tails really bomb konoha and murders everyone...holy crap. In other anime the main would stop right before killing someone or his friends brought him back, but not sukuna 😅

These subtitles are so confusing just clear some stuff up for future reference: The shikigami that they called makora is its japanses name but most people call it by its translated one Mahoraga. And sukunas domain is more widely known as Malevolent Shrine which is way cooler than kitchen🤣 Oh and by the way they showed inumaki un the vicinity when sukuna used his domain technique so...

tbh Malevolent Kitchen might be a better translation because "伏魔御廚子"；伏魔 = fukuma = to subjugate monster/demon, 御 = mi = could be 1.royal or 2.defensive, 廚 = zu = literally meaning kitchen or culinary, 子 = shi = no particular meaning, normally a postfix for an object. Hence, Fukuma Mizushi, by name = The royal kitchen that subjugates monsters. However the design of his domain in Season 1 resembles the night view of the Phoenix hall of Byōdō-in. So, by design it could be a shrine. I prefer kitchen translation better because Sukuna's cursed techniques (showed so far) are dismatle(kai；解), fillet(hachi；捌), and fire arrow(■開; ■fuga) plus he always said something like tasting, maggots (while referring to women and children). All of them are kitchen related.

Lots of issues with mappa not giving the animators enough time to finish the episodes. One of them said the ep was only 30% complete, so people are more being angry at mappa while appreciating the animators and that they even managed to get the ep out in general, rather than focus on bits of the ep.

Translations were messed up, it's Mahoraga, not Makora, Malevolent Shrine, not Kitchen, Cleave and Dismantle, not Disect snd Fillet

Well just think about it. You're up against an entity that can adapt to any and all phenomenon. So what do you think would've happened if Sukuna used his domain or flame arrow from the get go? Mahoraga can't adapt, and gets destroyed. That's the weakness - it needs time to adapt. It needs to experience before it can adapt. If it gets destroyed before it can adapt then it's over. So Sukuna could've ended it from the start if he wanted to but as usual he takes the entire thing as a game. This is the shit he lives for, it's for his pleasure.

yeah if he wanted and if he had known. Sukuna is a jujutsu nerd, he fights with jogo until he has seen everything jogo can do (since he refused to use de), same with cursed spirit in season one and megumi. If his opponent is interesting he takes his time to see some good curse usage. Sadly geto girls were boring would have loved to see that technique

Megumi saying it's pointless to the sorcerer if multiple people participate in a subjugation because then the ritual is void. Even if the shikigami is subjugated, it won't count because it has to be a 1 on 1 fight. Even if Megumi beat Mahoraga, he wouldn't be able to control it because the blonde dude is also a participant for example. Megumi has beat every shikigami that he has been shown to use in a 1v1 fight. To control a shikigami, he has to beat it in a subjugation ritual. He can summon a shikigami as many times as he wants for that purpose. Mahoraga is obviously the strongest shikigami if megumi literally said that not a single person has been able to subjugate it.
