The amount of weight you lost is inspiring. I started watching your later videos and came across one of your older videos and at first I didn’t realize it was you. Your beard was much darker and you were heavier. You transformed allot and I mean that in the best way possible. I’m currently in the process of losing weight. I lost 15lbs so far. Seen allot of dramatic before and after photos of fitness people but this is the most inspiring. I look like your build now in this video but I want to look how you do in the present time. I was 221lbs on a 5’7 frame. Now I’m 205lbs and have a long way to go. I’m curious to know your diet. Thanks for the motivation!

Yeah, I went through the same thing! I started watching him a week ago, then older videos started popping up on my Home screen. I also thought it was another barber until I heard his voice! 😃👍

I am glad he worked with the curl. Most barbers try to cut the hair to NOT showcase the curls. The model has the most awesome head of hair

@@ellarweegadsden8483 I have a similar curl. I love your hair,if thats you in the pro pic. I am waiting for my grey hair. I even have style picked out already. I am 56 and hardly any grey (got that from my gran's side. They just don't go grey). I wanted to do it at a salon but the stylist refused cos I will lose some of the curl and he didn't want his name linked to me when my hair starts breaking off🤣. Besides he felt my ahir probably won't get to silver, rather it will go to a Barbie doll yellow with maximum effort.

Great cut! The man has beautiful hair. It's a little round and I personally would like the sides a little shorter and back tapered a bit but it's not my hair and it seems Dan did exactly what the client asked for!

He is blessed with amazing hair that looks amazing both long and short. Not sure how many heard him say that he had no clue that he had curly hair before the pandemic because it had always been cut short. Because of the pandemic and not being able to get it cut it grew longer and it got curlier. I went through the opposite way of having really long hair that weighed down my curls because it was so thick and heavy. I literally had waist length hair or longer since I was 3 years old and it wasn’t until my freshman year at the university I attended that I got it cut shorter with layers that my curls came back. It has gone through many changes over the years and the curls more tight spirals now.

This haircut was a HUGE deal because the model's hair was very curly and thick. But there's no hair Dan can't cut and style. Barbering is the best and nicest art because you can make smiles with a new hairstyle. That's what I love of barbering. Keep working, Dan. Gratings.

I think he looks very good both ways. I love to see longer hair on guys. I think society has a tendency to be cruel when people want to look different than what is expected. Im glad we live in countries that don't control how we look, what we do, or with whom we enter act.

Looks great, can only imagine the maintenance when it was that long ! Personally I think if the sides were cut just a bit tighter it would enhance this look but I love it either way. Super cool haircut

Love the cut!!! I liked it long bud Dan did such an awesome job cutting it. Looks so nice! I like how Dan in corporates the water spray bottle into the process. Making sure the hair is moisturizes with water through the process is important for curly and coily hair, well done Dan. Because you have curly hair, I would recommend a good gel to define your curls. A good shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in and gel. Also, no sulfates, parabens or silicones.

Fun fact sulfates aren’t too bad. I use a sulfate here and there to deep clean my hair sometimes. Especially for my hair texture it doesn’t really dry it out at all. Also parbens are preservatives needed for your products to last. Parbens are actually one of the most gentle preservatives but media has made them look bad so you’ll never find them…. Sellers just use different preservatives and at times there worse then parabens!

I wish you could have saved his hair to give to the organizations that make wigs. But thinking about it, it was probably too short. I really appreciate the fact that you worked with his hair. So many people with curly/wavy hair always want to make it straighter. I'm so glad and happy for this young man that he was able to make peace with his beautiful curly hair. I've talked three or four of my friends who have curly hair to just leave it curly. They thought I was crazy until they tried it. It looks so much better on them and they are so much happier with their hair. Just embrace what God gave you and enjoy it. Straight or currently just embrace it

Wow this man had some hair. What a transformation; looks great. At the end when you showed his hair lying on the floor it looked like a dog laying there because their was so much hair. I hope he enjoys his new hair cut!💇♂️✂️💈

When it starts growing just a tiny bit in a few weeks it will allow him to play more with the top and do the flipped to the sides kind of style, Dan always makes sure they can easily style it so it already looks amazing at this length.

These videos are great - very relaxing and love to see the transformation. Which more women's stylists would use these types of techniques. Work with what hair " likes to do" not working against the hair

Cosmetology is a little different than barbering, I went to Cosmetology school, but I wanted to work in a barbershop and it was a huge difference in cutting the hair, we didn't learn to use clippers at all, if you did it was on your own time. I was lucky enough to go to work in a barbershop after I had been working in a beautyshop for 3 yrs, and I have never quit since. I started in a barbershop in 1989, and still working as a barber, but I've been in this kind of work since 1986. I love it. I didn't like doing colors or bleaching the hair. I'm on my 38th year. ❤

He’d always had a haircut every 2 weeks before growing it, so it was big deal to grow it! Going from haircuts every 2 weeks most of your life to no haircuts is pretty tough! Just glad he decided to stick with something a little longer and try that out!

I always thought it was so odd during cosmetology school, we were trained on manequin heads that we had to do a project/assignment (with instructor on the floor) that were the opposite of what the maniquins natural hair was. I.E stick straight hair then wrapping the right size perm rods for the project/assignment to get graded and checked off by the instructor before moving onto the next assignment/project. This guy's consultation is phenomenal with HIS hair client!!!!! Just saying (maybe the barber behind the chair) will read the comments and get promos or certification for his awesome work in hospitality care! BTW I love Olaplex 🎉
