She wrote a lot of songs about Tony, and then about Gavin. She was doing what Taylor gets crapped on for (writing about exes and lovers) way before Taylor. I love both of them.

Tragic Kingdom has sold over 16 million albums. Released on 1995 it was right in the middle of my teen years and it along with Metallica, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and my moms 60’s & 70’s music solidified my musical preferences

We lived about 5 blocks from Gwen Stefani's home in Anaheim. My children went to the same Junior High and High School about 10 years behind her. She was a big deal in Anaheim!

No Doubt was huge! They won a couple of Grammy’s for sure and a ton of other awards! Gwen was super successful solo as well. It’s amazing how many hits she’s had and their album sales were ridiculous! Great reaction!

Gwen Stefani solo songs you've likely heard: "Rich Girl", "Hollaback Girl", and "Sweet Escape"... possibly "What You Waiting For" and "Cool" as well... I forgot to add that she also featured notably singing the hook on Eve's "Let Me Blow Ya Mind"

Donald Glover didn’t have anything posted on his IG but at recent Coachella he posted No Doubt reunion performance which was incredible. Watch Holla Back Girl from then. Gwen climbs the scaffolding. They are amazing live.

No Doubt Live was always better than the studio cut. It's raw because the band was built for live. The only reason they got popular fast was because of Gwen as their front girl. The same reason why Faith No More became popular, their live shows is always better than the studio cut.

The guy on bass guitar and Gwen had an affair while in the band. He broke it off and she wrote all these songs about him and her sadness. He said it was so hard as she would go over the lyrics with him.

They had a definite ska vibe early in their career, and later as a solo act got a lot of flack for being a culture vulture with her heavy use of harajuku culture and stating she was Japanese. I don’t think sure meant it to be offensive in any way, but it’s just enthusiastic about different musical styles and vibes

Hello Ab, I thought I'd suggest a new group to give a listen, if interested. "The O'Jays - Back Stabbers (Official Soul Train Video)" (by the channel: Philadelphia International Records) --This song by The O'Jays comes from their breakthrough studio album called "Back Stabbers" released in 1972. The whole album was a commercial success reaching the top 10 of the Billboard Pop Albums charts and selling over 500,000 copies within a year of its release.
