Before I formally converted, I developed a kind of intuitive doubt that even overrode my rational mind. I'd think to myself "Well all these rational proofs for Islam must have some other explanations (logically exhaustion notwithstanding!) since the incredible stuff like the jinn, angels, akhira, miracles etc is clearly not true". Shaytan would tell me it's "impossible" to believe. What type of doubt is this? Alhamdulilah I'm well past it, but I'm sure my depression at the time had a role.

If you watched the video in full you would’ve connected the dots in terms of what shubuhaat are. As mentioned in this video and by previous Islamic scholars, shubuhaat are claims which have an element of truth within them but are manipulated to seem as if they are an argument against Islam, hence a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The job of the course is to train people to identify these shubuhaat and be able to distinguish the right and wrong. Moreover, one of these strategies is to dismiss shubuhaat by showing how Islam is the most reasonable and evident worldviews, but as our prophet pbuh told us, socialization can lead people away from this realization Our job by the will of Allah is to bring people back to this realization and there fitrah (innate disposition)
@mohammadhdiebi3249
@mohammadhdiebi3249 3 жыл бұрын
And this is also why socialization and things like normative social influence are also discussed in this course. These discussions require nuance And also as discussed in the video, in Islam we don’t believe a human being is only mind. We believe there is a Dynamic interplay where the human is a combination of a soul, heart, intellect, and mind, so there could be many factors as to why the human being is falling into shubuhaat Which is why things like tragic experiences are discussed in this course, things like excessive blameworthy desires and sin is discussed and how that can lead to shubuhaat We believe the spiritual heart can be clouded in many ways, the job of this course is to teach how to un cloud it. So it’s not as simple as Islam is the most rational and we’re good, there’s also a spiritual element

Look at the example that Ust.Hamza gave. There were some instances where he would answer a question and the questioner would be satisfied by the answer but Ust.Hamza wouldn’t be satisfied by his own answer Even though he would be intellectually convinced by the answer he gave he was still not at ease. And the way he would become at ease afterwards is by increasing his worship So it turns out the matter wasn’t intellectual it was spiritual

@@mohammadhdiebi3249 Ok, solve this contradiction. And just to mention out of 400+ responses, only 4 christians answered the 4 example questions and not a single muslim has yet. Will you be the first? How can allah/god be most/maximally just and most/maximally merciful at the same time when by definition of most/maximally, just and mercy, make that as impossible as a married bachelor. I will now give the full argument. premise 1 in order for one to be defined as most/maximally merciful, they must never punish any wrongdoings and always forgive them. If they even punish one person, they lose the title of most/maximally merciful as the possibility of someone else never punishing one person would take that title away. premise 2 In order for one to be defined as most/maximally just, they must always punish any wrongdoings. If they do not punish even one wrongdoer, the possibility of someone who punishes every wrong doing would take that away. conclusion allah/god cannot be most just and most/maximally merciful at the same time. Now I will give an example. There are 4 judges and 10 guilty criminals. Judge #1 orders punishment for all 10 criminals and does not forgive without punishment a single one. Judge #2 forgives without punishment all 10 criminals. Judge #3 forgives without punishment 9 of them and punishes 1 of them. Judge #4 punishes 9 of them and forgives without punishment 1 of them. Which judge is the most/maximally just? Which judge is the most/maximally merciful? Is judge #3 either most/maximally merciful or most just? Is judge #4 most/maximally merciful or most just?

Why didn't Allah preserve the Bible? He could have prevented billions from going astray.
@user-kf5uh2gz5m

Before I start I just want to say that we don't know the reasons why God does things. But, I can just propose an idea. Firstly, Allah didn't reveal the Bible, muslims don't believe in the Bible. Allah revealed the Injeel to Jesus (AS). Previous prophets were sent to a particular group of people and their message was supposed to be followed for a particular time period. Since previous revelations were time-bound, God did not preserve them Himself. Muslims believe that the Quran cannot be compared with the previous Scriptures. The Quran is unique in many aspects. It is the final revelation to mankind. Previous scriptures were sent to their respective people only. The Quran is universal. Muslims believe that since Muhammad ﷺ is the final prophet, he was not sent to Muslims nor the Arabs only, but he was sent to the whole of mankind. There is no Prophet that will come after him. Therefore, God preserved the Quran Himself and did not leave the preservation process to the Arabs or Muslims as He entrusted the rabbis and the scholars of the previous nations to preserve their scriptures Hope that helps 👋

Which judge is the most/maximally just? Which judge is the most/maximally merciful? Is judge #3 either most/maximally merciful or most just? Is judge #4 most/maximally merciful or most just? I have asked this on many channels for the past 10 days, and only after 150 responses did I manage to get 1 theist to answer those questions honestly. Most skip the questions and go right for a counter argument. The people who do say they answer them give an answer like god is judge 1 and 2, or they do not apply to god or even try and get me into the moral argument by saying things like well how do I know judge #1 is moral. If you have this same idea, the example is not about god or the source of morals. It is about how you see the words justice and mercy in this situation. Answering the questions does not mean you concede the argument even though it may look that way. You can answer the questions then after say how god negates the contradiction or how the difference in the definitions of most/maximally, mercy and justice are different then they mean here.

You're confusing The most merciful with all-merciful. All merciful will forgive all the time but God is not all merciful. He is the most merciful and he is maximally perfect in his mercy. Also, God is not the most just. He is the just - The All-Just.

He is the most merciful and he is maximally perfect in his mercy. Also, God is not the most just. He is the just - The All-Just." So in one part you say all merciful means he will forgive all the time but he is not all merciful. BUT, you then say he is all just. Well then by your own logic this would mean he could never forgive without applying justice. Thing is, even with most you still have the problem with mercy. Notice how you ignore the 4 example questions? Every muslim has ignored those questions so far and only 4 christians have answered them as well. Please do not tell me the christians are more honest and logical. Just answer the questions and you will have your answer on why most merciful would be someone who forgives instead of punishes.

@Mac Mac We really don't have a problem with mercy and neither his nature of being all-just is in contradiction with him being the most merciful. He is all-knowing and he knows the best when it is just to show mercy and when it is not to. The 4 questions are based on a faulty premise. There's no point in answering them because they are irrelevant to Muslims when they are inquiring about an all-merciful god that we don't believe in. If those 10 criminals are all guilty then God will punish them. He will be merciful to those who are not guilty. Thus, being merciful to some and not to others. Therefore, being all-just and the most merciful, not all-merciful. I love how you have taken yourself as some authority on logic and people are only logical when they answer your questions.

@@al.jibran " We really don't have a problem with mercy and neither his nature of being all-just is in contradiction with him being the most merciful. He is all-knowing and he knows the best when it is just to show mercy and when it is not to. " All that you have said here is there is no contradiction but you give no reasons as to how it does not contradict. If we had a judge who was forgiving guilty people, they would not be enacting justice and would probably be fired for being a bad judge. How can ANYTHING be most forgiving and most/all just. "The 4 questions are based on a faulty premise. There's no point in answering them because they are irrelevant to Muslims when they are inquiring about an all-merciful god that we don't believe in. " The questions are all about human judges. I have not heard of any nation in the world that does not have a justice system and judges. A 12 year old had no problem understanding this. Do you really not have the ability to reason out who is more forgiving and who is more just from that information even though children can do it easy? I even said " The people who do say they answer them give an answer like god is judge 1 and 2, or they do not apply to god or even try and get me into the moral argument by saying things like well how do I know judge #1 is moral. If you have this same idea, the example is not about god or the source of morals. It is about how you see the words justice and mercy in this situation.". I had to add this in because SOOOOO MANY of you theists try and straw man the questions to avoid answering them. Did you just do one of the fallacious things I said not to? "or they do not apply to god " "There's no point in answering them because they are irrelevant to Muslims when they are inquiring about an all-merciful god that we don't believe in. " You are avoiding the questions. Do you find it honest or a sign of dishonesty when a politician avoids answering a questions like this? Do you really want to use the moral code of a corrupt politician? "If those 10 criminals are all guilty then God will punish them. He will be merciful to those who are not guilty. Thus, being merciful to some and not to others." Ummmm, we do not just leave murderers and criminals on the streets thinking god will punish them. Do you live in a nation that has no justice system and law? Where do you live? You cannot show mercy to the innocent, they have done nothing wrong to be forgiven from. Mercy REQUIRES being guilty. Are you sure you know the proper definitions of these words? " Therefore, being all-just and the most merciful, not all-merciful. I love how you have taken yourself as some authority on logic and people are only logical when they answer your questions." Logic has no authority. There is no logic police or logic judges or logic lawyers or logic priests. Logic is reasoning. If you have no reasons to back up what you say, then you are not using logic. It is pretty simple really. I never said people are being illogical when they do not answer the questions, but I do say they are being dishonest just like I think a politician is dishonest when they avoid answering questions. For example when justin turdo, the prime minister here in canada was asked " How much were you and your family paid by the WE charity foundation?" He then goes on to talk about what the WE charity does but never answers the question and says a dollar value. He was then asked, " Did you and your family get paid in money, gifts and vacation trips worth over $300,000, YES OR NO?" He then goes on to talk about the charity again and never answers the question and says yes or no. The dishonesty justin was showing by avoiding the questions is the same dishonesty theist show when they avoid those questions. This is my reasoning and logic showing you why I think you are being dishonest.

@@macmac1022 Wow. What a word salad. You are right no judge will leave guilty people unpunished and what justice is can only be defined by God objectively. We have judges in this world but their justice is not objective until their judgement is in line with God's commandment. As for your question, the judges who forgive criminals are neither just nor the most merciful coz they are not being merciful towards the victims of the criminals. If there were multiple victims then their judgment is multitude cruel not to mention unjust. So, the judge who punished all 10 is the only one just and the most merciful out of all of them. When you do charity you are being merciful to another human being. What are they guilty of if you can only show mercy to guilty people? People who make mistakes are not "guilty" in the sense that you are using the term. They can be shown mercy. So, yes... you can show mercy to people who are innocent. Also, people who did their time and made amends are no longer guilty and they can be shown mercy as well. God's understanding of what guilty is, is in no way obligated to follow your understanding of it. Final note, God created logic. You will never be able to trap him in it. He is infinite and human understanding is finite. Something finite can never fit anything infinite. So, your logical arguments against God are never going to be good enough to prove he does not exist. It's illogical to even attempt to do so.
