Lol, my cat snuck down when I had previous layout and totally Godzillad it up. I had a pine tree upstairs in the living room, lol.

Hi Teresa and DJ, Great job Teresa two thumbs up. DJ, I have to tip my hat to you my friend, I showed this video to Suzie and I can't tell you what she said (ha ha ha) other than "That's your hobby". Incredible timing, DJ. I've carved out a short river (1 foot) that is under an overhead trestle bridge and also crossed over with two other rail bridges. Was going to pour the river today after the wife gets back from the post office with my "little people" (Woodland Scenic kids fishing and two canoes with canoeists). Just watched this and ready to do it. Very nice job, Theresa! Cheers, Bob

Instead of a torch to get the bubbles out , just blow through a drinking straw. That’s how I remove bubbles from epoxy when adding finish to fishing rods. It works well.

@@djstrains My son races dirt bikes and I ride too. Some day when I have my basement back I'll have a 14'x10' area for it. Kinda all ready know if what I want. Non prototype 4884, Challenger and Shay's logging and oil in Pa. area.

Very helpful video. How did you accurately predict how much resin and hardner you would need to cover the entire riverbed? Thanks DJ and Theresa!

I know on the woodland scenics water they have an app to calculate how much to use. Envirotex does not. I know I didnt want to pour it too thick or it'll take a week to dry, so I stayed on the conservative estimate. I think this time was luck. You can always add a thin clear layer overtop if you feel its not deep enough.

Very nice and fun. Hey dj last I heard was that you are running dc? If so, I'm n gauge as well and have all converted or bought dcc locos except one brand new sd 45 Santa Fe blue and yellow that I'm not going to dcc it. If you like as a free gift I will send it to you just let me know,? I love what you do and trust me I have many locos including 4 csx gevos and 1 csx ac 6000 plus many up and bnsf, ns etc so please all free.

I can run both. I simply unplug my bus wires from the DCC system into my DC system when needed. I sincerely appreciate your generosity, but will decline the offer, since I am sticking with the latest Amtrak sets that I can find. Thank you very much for the offer.

what are you using for the stop on the river bank?

for the "stop"? If you mean stone, I used real sifted dirt and woodland scenic coarse foliage. For the wall, I used plain styrene painted. For the ends where it meets the backdrop, I used silicone and made sure there was no gaps. When it dried, I painted it.
