Jimmy White and Alex Higgins were fan favourites, but were never considered GOATS. Stephen Hendry and Steve Davis were GOATS, but were never considered fan favourites. Ronnie managed to achieve both.

@@wfcyellow Shaun Murphy was absolutely brilliant with his commentary. He said that he and Ronnie are very different players (true), he said that they have different views on almost everything because of their vastly different backgrounds (also true), but he also said that what they both have is a deep deep passion and love for the game, and ultimately that's all that matters. Love him or hate him watching him play when hes on it is mesmerising and kept me watching him for the last 25 years. To still be at the standard he is at his age is incredible no other player comes close and is a credit to his dedication. I think snooker will struggle when he retires.

I always see Judd play with 60 % luck,and 40% ability. He hits hard and hope because 6 pockets. When long shots don't go in he is a very average player.We saw how Mark Allen destroyed him 10-3..On the other hand watch how better Ronnie & Hendry play, they are far far better. Clearly, age is absolutely no issue to Ronnie. We've seen players in the past reach a certain time in life and it just goes, but Ronnie is the exact opposite. He's so charismatic and to some quite divisive. But to me, Ronnie is snooker. Total box office and the greatest ever to play this incredible game of skill. I try to imagine what it must be like to play snooker at his level. Imagine having that ability.
